First of all front or rear? If your doing the front brakes buy a Mighty Vac at your local automotive store for about $40. It will take you all day + if you pump and bleed and probably wont get any where. A might vac you can be done in 15-20 minutes. If your working the rear brakes you can pump and bleed with no problem. DallasGDub
Sounds liek your doing it right. Good luck, maybe you can ride next summer. I will never bleed front brakes again without a vac tool. I am only 34, I would like to ride before I am 60. Rear is easy peasy.

AUSSIE BANSHEE
I also had the same trouble. I found that just one stroke of the master cylinder and then crack the bleeder worked best for me, i think if you keep pumping it it sucks the air backout of the other line. Slow and steady, just do one side at a time. Good Luck.
