2SLO Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 I finally installed my chain, and tried to ride my banshee (that runs like crap). When i pull in the clutch and pout it in gear, it lunges forward and dies. The clutch isnt fully disengaging. I adjusted the cable all the way out, and still nothing. Any ideas or is this a common problem? Quote
bbcmudtruck Posted September 4, 2009 Report Posted September 4, 2009 Is it adjusted properly? Look on top of your case where the clutch cable hooks to the arm. See if the arrow on the case and the arrow on the arm line up. Quote

zephyrdog Posted September 5, 2009 Report Posted September 5, 2009 it sounds like your adjuster (inside the clutch case) is out of wack. Check out this link, its for a "toomey" clutch but at the bottem the adjustment procedure will be the same. http://www.powerbrokerz.com/docs/bansheeclutchkit.pdf Quote
2SLO Posted September 6, 2009 Author Report Posted September 6, 2009 figured it out.. the clutch disc's were rusted to the plates.. durrr. Quote

Patsy Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Should I be able to remove the clutch ball bearing with a magnet once I get all the clutch parts off? I was having Issues with my clutch staying engaged. I had the cable all the way adjsuted so removed the cover to do the internal adjustment and noticed the guy that I got the banshee from busted one of the spring bolt holes and left another spring off. While i was in there I was going to instpect ALL the clutch parts since this guy seemed to engage in some shady wrenching. Thanks fellers. Quote
