i have took the carbs off and there fine no water in them. also changed plugs had to pop start and still the same right cylender runs and the left back fires. i dont think the coil can be bad cause it runs on 1 cylender, can it still be bad ?? im thinking its the wire or the boot can you remove the wires?? i dont want to keep pulling on them if they dont come out.

remove both spark plug boots and dry them off. Replace them with NGK boots.

Coil is probably fine. read above please. The end of the wires that clip on your spark plugs got water in them...possibly.

ok just replaced the boots with the ones you said, still no spark, looking at the bike from the right side the orange wire goes to the front and the black to the back? whats next the wires? also sanded down the gorund for the coil where it bolts to the frame

Switch the wires and plugs from side to side and see if your problem switches sides if does the plug, wire, or cap is bad, if it doesnt you got other problems. Do a compression check on both sides.

Im with bansheestang , Check the compression on the suspect side

Just went through this myself, sounds like you have done in a piston

im on the way to get a compression tester now. what should the compression be for a motor bored 10 over? i dont understand how no spark can mean i have a bad piston but ill check it anyway thank you all for the help

I was wondering the same thing. I am having the same problem but my left side is still sparking, just a weak spark. My right side runs and idles fine, but the left only fires sporadically and when I rev it it runs better.
