  4. yea tried 3 sets of plugs an tested the coil it tested fine but i pulled mine off my 87 cause i know it works an still no spark.. thats why im beliving its the cdi
  5. ok it all comes down to something electrical i belive. it was running just fine the other day an now it has no spark or anything. tried a new coil pack plugs. took apart every connector to make sure nothing was unplugged. i was woundering if i should unpin my 87 shees cdi an pin his 01 shee to try my cdi box on his or not... i dont belive its the stator but i could be wrong.. i kept thinkin his cdi went out. the only reason i think it was his cdi box is cause usly a stator gets weak before goin out an when i did an ohm test on ithe stator it passed with flying colors acourding to the book. so what do you guys think repin mine into his or just get a new cdi box
  6. so ive been doing some searching around on the net and from what i at i should start at a 42 pilot an a 160ish main. i guess the air stryker has more vacum then normal carbs????? Im confused on where to start now
  7. ok so i have my 2-1 intake an a 38mm carb on my shee an has power pros exhaust an vitos reeds an kn cone air filter clamped on carb an she is bored to a 383 non stroker lol. so anyways i took apart the carb to see what sizes jets i have cause its poping an pinging. runs fine at idle then just past 1/4 throttle while on a load falls on its face an dies out. revs just fine without the load. welll to find out i have a 230 main and a 22.5 pilot i believe is whhat it says any ideas what sizes i should be at

Ok so i havent been on much latey an decided to start working on the shee again. so far ive put a brand new top end rebuild on her an then i also went from the 2 to 1 carb setup also all brand new. an for some reason now when i start her she only fires right on the left cylinder. i put new plugs an switched the reeds around an even the plug wires to see if i had them backwords an nothing helped. could it be an air leak or maybe a timing issue. i also discovered that there is a solid white wire that comes out of the stator that is cut an tapped off an goes no where. ive check in my book an it shows there shouldnt be a white wire anywhere. im so confused on what to do next. by the way its an 89 shee if that will make any difference.. thanks gays/gals Bob

  11. What would b the symptoms of the fuel hose that connects to the chock to the other carb b if its not there. Wouls it not fire on the right cylinder right?
  12. those are the same ones that came on my 400 dollar project. the guy that i got it from said he thinks they where DG i dont know but thats what he told me an mine look just like that but not as shinney ny more
  13. i hope that you are mistaken and that what you were actualy looking at was the coolant return line from the radiator to the coolant bottle under your seat. if the vent tube on your clutch cover actualy does tie into the return line from your radiator then you are in for some problems since every time your bike gets hot and overflows it will dump coolant into your case as well as your coolant bottle. Well now I'm all confused then. I bought this shee for a project afew weeks ago to rebuild. The hose I'm lookin at is right next to the rad hose comin out of the right side case an it connects to a T that connects to the back of the case an then connects to a nipple right below the rad cap. So if that's wrong an those r suppose to just flow to the ground then what plugs into the nipple below the rad cap an then what plugs into the top right side of radioter then. Like I said I bought for 400 bucks an it a project that I'm workin on thanks
  14. If its just to the left of it it goes to a T for coolant. I went out an looked at my shee real quick an that's where mine conects to. Red oil tho that's got me puzzled. Unless its a diff line from what I'm looking at

  16. As a lot of you on here that have been reading my other posts on here I bought an 89 shee for 400 bucks an its now my project baby. So I'm down to the last 2 things top end rebuild an carbs. So my question is in my position she I bore her to the 60 over or should I resleeve her. I'm debating on both cause vitos has that stock rebuild for 80 bucks but then I was thinkn bout boring to 60 over an gettin super stock rebuild kit for more power to go with my exhaust an filter setup. What would all of you do. All opions are welcome. I'm open minded to all options. I'm trying to build the quad for fast trails an a few slow trails but not to many slow ones.

Now that as I was think if I wanna b a dick I could sell my blaster to him for 1500 an then by my other friends 99 shee that he only wants 1700 for but I bet if I had that 1500 cash he'd take it. Hmmmm what to do. I'm just scared I'd miss the blaster that's my biggest thing that or know if I got a warrior I'd be part ofthe 89% of peeps who switched to a 4 stroke an I'd miss my 2 smoker cause that's what I've been around all my life.
  18. The only good part is my gf knows how drive a manul so that parts done. She's just to scared to hit the powerband in the blaster. She says it scares her. I also found oyt the warrior is a 91
  19. nope its leaking for the seal where the shifting ride goes in the motor. so i think a new seal will do it. the reason i thought it was crack cause the oil would ride down to the burs an made it look like a crack so when i wiped it clean thats when i found the real leak. thats y i feel like a dumbass cause i should of done that first. ok heres a good one for everyone. is it sad to say my key board is covered ir motor oil from always working on somethin an not washing them to et on my pc.
  20. yea around here we only trail ride and i bought the blaster to ride untill i get me shee running an then it was gonna b my gf's but she has no clue on how to ride a 2 stroke an im affraid shes just gonna burn up pistons thats y i was kinda leaning torwards the warrior being a 4 stroke its pretty much idot proof if you know what i mean. i know the warrior has plus 2 a arms a 2" wider rear axle the 380 big bore a fmf pipe works shocks all around. my blaster is all stock but a vitos performance clutch and a fresh rebuild with about 15hrs of ride time on it so far.

  22. ok i feel like a big and i mean big dumbass. what i have found out is the crack isnt a crack after all. its just burs from the actul cast molding itself. but i did get 2 pics of the shee tho so everyone can see what my 400 dollar project looks like.
  23. K one of my buddies has a 99 warrior an its pretty quick its been decked out pretty good. He bought a craptor 700r an well the warrior is a lil to big an power for his son an he wants to trade for my 03 blaster that's like mint condition straight up? You guys think it would b a good deal or you think I'd b gettin screwed.
