3YLSYKR Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 I wanna make a street legal Banshee. I've seen it done before in other states. I'll have to see if Utah will give me the ok or not. I wanna find a banshee with no motor and drop in an R1 motor and go from there. Is this possible? I think it could be and would be a lot of fun. Quote
BSHEE400 Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 it's a cool idea for sure but i'd stick with a 2stroke motor Quote
Drewski Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 look on youtube, theres a few on there. you can build anything with skill and knowledge  Quote
3YLSYKR Posted August 19, 2009 Author Report Posted August 19, 2009 I was thinking about that but I wouldn't be able to drive too far on a Banshee motor. I would have to up the tank to 5.5 gallons and probably convert over to system where it holds and mixes it's own oil or just not drive that far on pre-mix lol. Quote
XxMeltIcexX Posted August 19, 2009 Report Posted August 19, 2009 Here in AZ they are ready to rock the road with a mirror and a plate! Quote

D-1 Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 sucks here in wisconsin because the DOT wont allow a frame from an offroad vehicle to be ridden on the street. So you have looked into this? I was just wondering if it was possible in WI? I'm located in Green Bay and acouple of my buddies are triing to get me to make one street legal with a 4 cylinder! I have to do some research on it but been told a 600 motor will fit? Any idea? I have a roller to play wit! I wonder if a 02 GSXR 1000 will fit? I have a spare motor 4 my bike sitting on a stand taking up space. Let me know if you are positive about making a shee street legal, greatly appreciated. Quote
banshee_terror_ Posted August 21, 2009 Report Posted August 21, 2009 you cant really decide on anything untill you know what the rules or what ever they are called are...... but a way to get around one is to get a street bike frame and convert it Quote
