Which 4mm stroker crank do you prefer?

Ok here is where i am at. All I lack to complete my 4 mill is a crank. From the looks of it hotrods is the way to go. Is there a reason wiseco is not used as much?

Twister 5mil. It's the same as a 4mil except (doesn't require case work): it's billet, costs more, and cyliders need to be ported for it. :geek:

Wiseco and hot rods spilt away from each other. Wiseco cranks like to come apart, and not in a good way.

well crap....I had found a good deal on a wesico but now it may not be so good.....You say come apart do you mean like it needs to be welded or even then it still will break?

Well we had an unwelded one come apart. We rebuilt it (hot rods fixed it and welded it) and put in a TZ bearing. Then it blew out the bearing the next trip out.

Most of the forged cranks come from the same place.

Get it trued and welded by a competent builder, you'll be fine.

We have run both for many years and really have no complaints of either. Weisco cranks were recently redesigned and everything looks good so far. But keep in mind the key to a crank lasting is a good true and weld job and good bearings.
