So i hooked up my vapor, very easy to do. The main reason i got it was for the temp sensor. After riding the bike for maybe 45 mins, not beating on it very hard just cruisin down trails, the temp only reached a max of 158

I got my high at 220, danger at 230.......also use the bR8es plugs instead of b8es and the resetting of the power will stop.....mine usually runs around 180-190 when i used to trailride, 80-90 degree ambient temp.

i set my temp lights up for 195 and 205. i think my shift light is set at 6k and redline is 10k.

ive heard of using the resistor plugs to help with interference problems with the vapor. i use b8es's with no problems. every banshee is different though i guess.

You need a dyno to see where you stop making power. Other than that, it's guessing.

You could always go by the seat of the pants feel and try different things till you feel it's performing it's best.

How are you guys mounting them?

I used the mount that came with the kit, its like a plastic piece that you would use to hold a reflector on a bike. Im going to bend a piece of metal and drill some holes to mount it above the handlebar mount.

My running temps are generally in the 70C-80C range (158F-186F). The only time it creeps up on me is if i sit and idle for too long. Even in tight woods as long as i keep her movin the temps stay in that range. I've got my temp warning lights set to 90C and 100C (194F, 212F). Shift light set to 6500 and overrev at 9500. My mods are fairly basic tho, pipes and silencers, K&N pods and +4 timing. I do use the resistor type plugs so i cant chime in on that one other than to say some guys dont use them and have no problems, but some guys do have to use them. I used a piece of flat 1/8th aluminum and rigged it up over my handle bar clamp using a u clamp on either side around the handlebars. Its easy to see and read, but i have to move it to check my mounting bolts so i gotta find a better permanent home for it, just not sure where yet.

I love my TT, and coming from sleds and streetbikes, i've always had gauges or instrumentation of some sort on all my toys. It just didn't feel right for me to not have a tach and a temp warning light. Don't get me wrong, i always listen for problems when i'm riding, but it sure is nice to have the gauges.

Is anyone out there using the TT dash board? they're the tits, but a few $$$.
