gotnos Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I HEAR THAT THE 501 TIRES THAT HONDA MOUNTS ON THERE 450 ATV ARE BETTER THAN THE HOLE SHOT TIRES FOR A BANSHEE ADN HELP ON THIS TOPIC Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I really like the Ohtsu MR501 radials... Quote
hercalmighty Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I just got some ITP GNCC tires and they kick ass. A hell of a lot lighter then Razr2's and just as much bite if not more. They just dont last quit as long. Quote
grizzly700 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 i like my razrs for soft dirt but your gonna get a million answers for this question. my next tires are gonnna be kenda knarleys Quote
Washburn Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Razr 2s all around my friend. I and just about every racer I know swears by them for any kind of dirt great bite all around. And they last soooooo soooooo much longer than holeshots. You can get 7-8 hardcore 2 hour rough track as rough as it comes races on a rear set of Razr 2s and about 4 on a set of Holeshot GNCC or any other Holeshot even the HDs. I think that speaks for itself EL JEFE. Quote
hercalmighty Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 Ill take the GNCC over the Razr2's just for the weight difference. I guess Im use to running my tires way down before I change them. I had my old holeshots on my banshee for 6 years so if I can get another 6 out of my GNCC's Im happy. For the record I do race harescrambles and ride in extremey rocky areas. Quote
trail rider Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 I wouldnt mind trying out a set of these tires, STI dirt trax http://www.goldenwestcycle.com/productinfo..._676-dc_587.htm they are a remake of the old titan trail claw II's. i'd say they would hook pretty good on any kind of dirt. Quote
chugger Posted June 3, 2009 Report Posted June 3, 2009 501's stock yfz 450 radials loco's cut kendas any of those tires need to be ran at a low pressure for good hook Quote
Washburn Posted June 4, 2009 Report Posted June 4, 2009 501's stock yfz 450 radials loco's cut kendas any of those tires need to be ran at a low pressure for good hook Yeah, like 2 psi. Im a little more handy with a tire that runs on like 4 mabey 1 more. Quote
locogato11283 Posted June 7, 2009 Report Posted June 7, 2009 you dont wanna run anything less than about 3 or 4 psi in a tire that youre out fuckin around on.. trail riding and shit like that usually puts the tire in positions that a lower psi would cause to come off the bead. the lower psi is really only good for straight line dragging or hillclimbing. hntruckman Posted June 9, 2009 Report Posted June 9, 2009 gbc makes a tire called the xrex. its the same as a razr2 but lighter im goin to put those on the front and some gbc afterburns on the rear of mine. Quote
