hi all can anyone help me with my latest problem with my banshee ? my clutch has seemed to have stopped working the lever has gone solid ive checked the cable and its nice and free could it be something inside the gearbox? thanks

It could that the ball bearing could have welded to the push rod. Just a thought. You need to drop the trans oil and take off the clutch coverr to get a look and take it from there.

+1. I welded mine a week ago. Had to end up splitting the cases to get it out. Only way to check is to tear it down and see. Good luck with that bud!

You can tip the bike over on the flywheel side(shifter side) to save the tranny oil. You needa drain your coolant still though.

Just wondering why do you have to split the cases to get the welded ball and rod out? the ball does fit through the hole in the primary on the clutch side ? I am just wondering I have heard this before, couldnt pull it out with a magnet ?

you have to split the cases if the rod gets welded to the clutch arm thats on top of the cases. the one that the clutch cable gets connected to......if it just gets welded to the push rod thats on the clucth pressure plate than you save yourself time and a bigger headeach..

Ok I understand now ! and Sparky I have heard that holding the clutch in as your going down a big hill will cause it ? Im not 100 % sure though Im wondering could it be groves in the basket ?
