Ducman Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 That looks like the same one made by the e-bay seller the Swing Arm Shop. I had one, +4", and tore the welds that connect the tube (shock mount) to the swing arm rails loose and cracked the bottom of the rails. It is a weak design since there are holes drilled into the swingarm rails so that the tube goes inside and the weld is just on the surface of the rail. Also, the stock bearing carrier is pretty suckey too. I wish I would have bought the round style twin row bearing carrier and a better quality swingarm like I have now. Between the crappy swing arm and the crappy stock bearing carrier I shortened my riding time on 2 separate trips to the sand doons. I got a pretty good deal on a tubular trellis design swingarm with round house carrier on e-bay for around $475 and its holding up well. Quote
RIPPEN Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 Like mentioned above, spend a little more and get a stronger arm and also I STRONGLY urge you to pay even a few more bucks for a carrier and get a "round" style.. Trust me bro, they are worth every penny and if you don't now you will wish you had down the road!.. RIPPEN Quote

87sheerips Posted April 24, 2009 Report Posted April 24, 2009 I snapped this swingarm in half, at the chain adjusters a couple weekends ago. Not the best swinger, but Ive been running it for 3 years without many issues. I welded the breaks and just rode it last weekend w/o issues at the dunes. Save the hassle, DITCH the stock carrier style. garbage Quote
