I was told from the engine builder to run 160 mains and about a 52 pilot in my 35mm PWK's. It may be a little more or a little less but would like to see what others might think? Don't mean to hi jack the thread. Quote
fastrthnu Posted April 16, 2009 Report Posted April 16, 2009 It would basically be the same as a yfz350. I always use mikunis , so Im not sure on the jetting of yours. All different. Quote

2strokespirit Posted April 17, 2009 Report Posted April 17, 2009 I am a RZ freak LOL Start on 162 mains and 55 pilots... I think you will settle on 158-160... Airbox or pods??? 55 pilots are to fat for my pods at 3000ft... So at 3000ft 33pwks, 4mm stroker, very very agg porting 33mm pwks it settled on 52 pilots (which are still almost to fat) and 158 mains... You know that those Pro Circuits of yours ain't gonne fit?? Been there done that... PCs is a low/mid pipe which will work good with the YPVS at closed position, but open it has a high exhaust duration and the pipes will not respond good to that... All depends what you're going to do with her... I am considering a 7mm RZ right know... But the transfer durations are going to be a little high, so we'll see if we can sort that out with getting the blow down "in spec".... Quote

They won't fit with the banshee motor and YFZ450 chassis either, but they will. Currently, they're in 4 pieces and I'm fitting them to the chassis. It is going to be 50/50 dunes and trails. The dunes is the only place it will see high R's for any length of time. I was told that drag pipes would give me about 6-7 more HP compared to the PC's. We'll see. I had the pipes already from my banshee. The next ones' I'll make myself. Just didn't have time for this build right now. I'm at sea level for elevation. He said my final jetting would be about 52.5 pilot, 158-160 main also. I'll make final adjustments at the dyno. Quote

Well then you have the right motor man!!! OK nice, I'll be in the process of building my own pipes... I am a engine builder in SA, mostly Banshees and RZs. Zeeltronic will work like a bomb for adjusting the YPVS for dunning and trials!!! Enjoy!!!! Its always nice to talk about RZs... Quote
doorslammer Posted April 18, 2009 Author Report Posted April 18, 2009 (edited) so my jetting should be a hellava lot smaller then what i posted? also what pipes are you running on your bike now 2strokespirit, i was planning on running PT mids as i plan to race MX. but when im out play riding with mates we do alot of fast riding usually tapped out in 6th... I had a set of locally made pipes which I refitted, now I am going to make my own which will be more of a top end pipe... PT will be good for MX, get yourself a topend set also if you can, then you can swap if you know you're going to do top end riding.... Quote

Start with 160 mains, 55 pilots. I think you will settle on 158 main 52 pilot. Quote
