I think it is time to change out my sprockets and chain. I was wanting to get some input on gearing. It is stock as of now. I mostly ride power line trails and do some occasional drag. It has the stock sprockets now. I'm going to replace both sprockets and do a new chain, so I was wondering if 13/41 would be a good choice. Also I would like to know which chain would be best for my application (Non-Oring, Oring, Xring) and which sprocket would be better aluminum or steel. Is there any performance gains between the different types of chains and material of sprockets?

chain and gearing is preference. id go with 13/41 or 42 but DO NOT by aluminum sprockets. they wear out WAYYY to fast and if you dont pay close attention to your adjustment you will end up with no teeth on it.

buy steel sprokets, spend the money and get a good chain like a Regina and be done with it. as for oring non oring it depends on wat you ride in. sand get non oring, mud/water get oring

Sounds good I am currently looking at JT sprockets 13 & 42, and a DID 520ATV X-ring chain. My banshee has Paul Tuner Mids w/ fatboy 2 silencers, K&N 2into1 with no box, 320 mains 25 pilots, .020 over wiseco's, VF 3's . How do you think the gear selection will work out for me

you can get primary drive front and rear sprockets and DID chain from rockymountainatv.com..

both are reasonably priced and last forever.

you could even buy a couple different front and rear sprockets to play with.
