Again, your a dum ass and most likely a punk kid at that. Go away little boy This man can actually see who offers sound advice and those who are just running thier sucks like yourself. Your reply didnt PROVE anything of your capibilities in your knowledge of the subject, just as I had challenged you. . i would love to put my Sach in your mouth Quote
04srt4black Posted March 4, 2009 Author Report Posted March 4, 2009 UPDATE ! Put on the new cleaned carbs and the bitch started right up and then died , i then did a little bit of adjustment and started it up again , started the first kick !!!! and then idled fine , i was so f'n happy i just threw the seat on it and took it up the drive way and back . Now for the new problem , its hard to get going , as in it BOGS and hesitates and then DAMN WOT , crazy quick , lol . What would cause the bogging issue ? like you got to rev it rev it rev it and let out on the clutch little by little before it will take off , then if your crusing at maybe 5-10mph in 1st and hammer it , it bogs down like BLAH then picks up and lifts the wheels off the ground(scared the shit out of me) and then takes off . Sorry to make you guys fight and argue , lol . ANY help is appreciated . I think this things got reeds allready installed aswell ? its goes carb , boot , gold (looks to be a 1/4") spacer then the head (i guess) ? This thing might be built i have no clue i have never rode another banshee before . Quote

I dont even know wtf a jet looks like , lol . the needle in my right carb is sticking because fuel keeps dripping out of the bottom hole on the carb , so i may have to take it back apart again and check it . It also back fires ALOT , if im trying to go WOT it will backfire then take off like a bat out of hell . As far as those little gold spacer inbetween the carb boot and cylinder , is that factory ? Thanks again guys . Yea i would hate for this thread to get SOT (super off topic) and we start bashing each other , altho it is funny as shit , haha Looks like i found another forum that i like , haha . Im here to fuck shit up (step brothers ) the spacer is your reeds... and backfire means lean = too small of a jet and bogiing means to rich = to big of a jet jet is the small brass "hex" thing you cleaned.... let me see if i can find a topic for you to read.. this was the most useful http://www.freewebs.com/intoxicated-racing/links.htm http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=23546 http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47286 http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47285 Edited March 5, 2009 by zach45 Quote
Facetious Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 Similar problem I was having on mine. Pilot jet was clogging up on one side. Had to take it apart and clean it up a few times before the problem went away. That pilot jet hole is damn small. Pilot jet covers 0-1/4 throttle and main jet/needle cover 1/4-WOT. From what you say it sounds like your problem is in the 0-1/4 throttle range and goes apeshit once you hit the mains. Next time you pull your carbs apart, look at your main and pilot and post up the numbers on them. Quote

All i did was take the bottom off , knocked the pin out for the floater , and then removed the screw and the hex thing . Nothing else was took off . Do i need to go further and clean more ? I did take the little hex thing out , looked like a pyramid on one end and hex on the other (and in order to get it out you had to remove a screw and a plate that had it tied down) ? And thanks for the info zach im going to do some reading tomorow , haha Quote

Facetious Posted March 5, 2009 Report Posted March 5, 2009 (edited) Your main jet is the brass hex piece. The pilot is much narrower and is located in a tube that is usually next to the main jet. Mains stocker pilot Edited March 5, 2009 by Facetious Quote
04srt4black Posted March 5, 2009 Author Report Posted March 5, 2009 SOB i DO NOT HAVE a pilot jet then because last night i could look down into that thing and see a needle size hole , hell i even took one of the torch cleaners and stuck it through that hole ! So how the hell does this thing even run at all ? I mean they are NOT there at all . I dont even have a key for this thing someone removed the key and cylinder thing and taped up the wires ( i noticed this they were in fron of the handle bars taped up) The tors were allready removed aswell . So aparently who ever had this thing before us knew what they were doing or they didnt have a clue and took off and left out a bunch of stuff , lol . Thanks again everyone ! Quote

Mains stocker pilot THANK YOU ! Do you absolutely have to take a socket to remove the mains ? Heres my right carb with nothing but the bowl and floats removed , kinda hard to see , but i did NOT see anyway to remove anything else? Also got to remember these are aftermarket mikuni 28mm carbs . So what jets , pilots and mains would i need to get for these things ? Quote
