jasons Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Im Wanting to drain the coolant. I was Told there is a drain plug near the water pump. Cant find it the only drain plug that i know of is on the outside of the cylinders but that just drains the jugs. i could be wrong though. i just pop the radiator hoses off and let her drain. good luck. FASTOYS Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 Pull the rad. cap, drop the lower rad hose from RS cover and tip bike side to side, also drain bolt on side of each cylinder. Aftermarket makes a drain bolt/cover for inside the wp cover but stock doesnt have one. Quote
locogato11283 Posted January 24, 2009 Report Posted January 24, 2009 ill add to FASTOYS... i like to pull the lower coolant hose first, and get it funneled into whatever youre putting the coolant in, and then pull the radiator cap.. that way, you dont spill a bunch of shit everywhere. Quote
official_style Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 where are the drain plugs on each cylinder? i have to do this on both of mine, to install them gauges and water pumps, plus ICE. Quote
spurdy Posted January 26, 2009 Report Posted January 26, 2009 where are the drain plugs on each cylinder? i have to do this on both of mine, to install them gauges and water pumps, plus ICE. Each side under the pipe (depending on the pipe). M6 bolt. Mine are a hex head but the bolt can vary. SP Quote
