ok so i used to have a 89 Kawasaki Ninja 600r. well when i got it it also came with a spare motor. but the motor needs put together(no biggie). and i have damn near a hole rolling chasis banshee frame. and i have been thinking that maybe it would be one hell of a mod and badass bike if i could just squeeze that motor in there and run a custom muzzy pipe that comes out from under the seat like the new ninjas do. the only problem is i dont have carbs for it. i can prob come accross then sometime. what kinda sugestions you guys got for me?? yah or nah???

There are alot of people squeezing R1 motors into banshees so Im sure that 600 would be pretty easy. Sounds like a cool project, as long as you got the tools such as welder, griinders etc. to do some frame mods or you got a buddy that has the stuff that will help you, I say go for it!

Keep us updated as to progress and pics

Whats kind of power does a 600 make, maybe 90hp? You can get a cheetah cub and make 100+hp and it be more beneficial in a lot of ways. For one, it weighs a fraction of what the ninja motor would weigh and because of that, you would retain the same handling characteristics as a stock banshee. As far as cost...I understand the cub motor would cost a bit more, especially if you already have a ninja motor sittin' around but there's nothing quite like the feel of a helacious 2 stroke powerband!!!

I think it would be a cool project to embark on...just hate to see you chop up a perfectly good banshee and get frustrated and quit in the middle of the build like so many others have just to get horsepower when you can go the easy route and upgrade to a cub and get the same affect, maybe even better for a lot less brain damage...

just my .02

I agree though, if you decide to do it, take photos along the way and keep us updated!

finally something i can comment on...... id say go for it, Im a kaw man when it comes to motorcycles, I own a zx14, and a zx9r......the 600's are putting out more than 90hp, more like 112hp and the weight may be a factor compared to a banshee motor but you gotta consider torque.... a 600 motor will put out double the torque of a banshee motor, so itll weigh itself out. I gotta friend of mine with a 1000 kaw motor on a honda 400 ex frame that flat out rips ass! If you decide to do it be sure to include pics!!!! good luck

i wouldnt. that motor is quite a bit taller than a banshee motor and youll be doing a ton of cutting on that frame. if you really wanna put it in something i recommend something with a taller frame like a raptor or even a 400ex.

i would stay away from putting that in a banshee frame.

Ya i dont want to ruin a good banshe ether but this frame has no vin number on and and the parts are just sitting there. its ether sell em or make something of them. And the motor itself really isnt to tall its only like 4 inches wider then the shee motor and maybe another 3-4 inches taller. after i go get the motor this weekend il have to take pics and show ya how it looks and how it should fit. il have to get the tourque i want so il prob go down to a 38 rear blaster sprocket. and then will be looking for a ext. swinger. i just want something that will blow alot of poeples minds and when i take it out they will be amazed.lol
