fastrthnu Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 They are sold by tdr which is who Im having clean up my bores, but I have never heard of these. They are WSM long rod with teflon coat and larger port holes. Im sure they are decent being sold by him, but just want to get more opinions. They are only $170 for the pair. If they are able to hold around 80hp, Im going to have him throw a set in when I get my cylinders done. here is the link... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BANSHEE-LON...A1%7C240%3A1318 I sold my quad to a really good friend of mine because he refused to let me sell it, and said I could buy it back later, which I most likely will do. I work for him sometimes, so even if I dont have the money, I can work it off. I kept the motor and carbs though, and it will sell for more done than not anyways. Quote
No Limit Powersports Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 Some people run the wsm pistons with no problems but i have never had good luck with them. We run american made wiseco only. M&M ATV Pistons Quote
98_shee Posted December 23, 2008 Report Posted December 23, 2008 I would stick with wiseco's. Not very often you hear anything bad about them. I know a couple people that ran the wsm's and didn't like them. Quote
fastrthnu Posted December 23, 2008 Author Report Posted December 23, 2008 well, thats why I ask. thanks Quote
RollinRhino Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 Go with Wiseco. I have never had any problems on anything I have run with a Wiseco piston. I can tell you all kinds of horror stories about everything else. Especially Namura pistons. Quote
seabass Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 (edited) "You can go broke saving money." Wisecos get my vote. By the way, I also vote you get your ass to work for him to get the bike back! lol  Edited December 24, 2008 by seabass Quote
dajogejr Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 Tony Dukas is a pretty respected name in this biz. However, I just don't like those pistons... I've always run and had good luck with Wisecos.... Quote
2slow350 Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 The WSM pistons have a problem of cracking on the bridge of the widows, for the performance side I always hear good things do to the design measurments. I wouldn't run them, I also believe they maybe cast aluminum .. Quote

shanYE west Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 Ok.. I guess I'm the lone ranger on this one... I like the WSM pistons and havn't had ANY problems with them. 2 full seasons of drag racing and dune drags.. They are forged pistons. I'd run another set in my next motor.. Quote

05.Banshee.SE Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 I'm going to go with 795s because of their [Wiseco] popularity and reputation. I just don't like to gamble. Quote
shanYE west Posted December 24, 2008 Report Posted December 24, 2008 Wiesco here as well. lol Shayne nice addition to your sig hehehe at least mine is authentic LOL thanks. I'm glad you liked it.. If your going for authenticity.. then the 2nd quote you have is bogus.. lol I said that on purpose to give you more sig material since you like quoting me so well.. And you asking how to syphon fuel out of your cases made it a perfect setup... :yelrotflmao: Quote
