klemet banshee Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 what is the diffren e between carbon fiber and the stock ones? and is there a noticeable diffrence? Quote
jimbob Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 ive run both stock reeds and vforce 3's on a pretty stock shee and the difference is pretty unbeleivable. with the vforce ones the throttle respose is lightning quick compared to stock and theres a bit more low down power to be had, especailly with a +4 timing advancer Quote

Cleaned my throttle up and made it snappier I think. Quote
AKheathen Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 the power is in the design not the material. vf3 is way better because of the cage and reed shape. carbon fibre's on a stock cage are alot more durable and are designed to run without the stock deflectors, so you can run the pedals the same as the stock ones, and it'll just get a little better, or run without the stock deflectors to change the response. deflectors= better low-mid. without= better mid-top end. i believe boysen even explains this when you go to the online store. i am of course assuming you are talking about replacing the reed pedals, right? Snopczynski Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 Stock cages with carbon reed petals or designed low-mid range reed will make more low-mid hp than a set of vf3's. The vf3's will make more top end hp on a mid-top motor. VF3's on anything less than a mid-top ported bike are a waste of money. Quote

desertdeweller Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 seems to be a lot of that around here lately. must be something in the eggnog or maybe it is the eggnog Quote
AKheathen Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 i can't vouch from experience on them, but talkin with the guy, i was impressed. we were disgussing porting stock cages and he seemed more interesed in helping out, suggesting blaster cages and porting them, giving their experience info, etcetera, than selling me a set. don't get me wrong, vf3's are nice, but the're in it for the bottom line- proffit. chariot obviously has the passion and stamina to design the best possible, and keep goin at it. so i've decided, when i'm ready, i'm gonna go with them. it's like the difference of a gen 1 camaro ss, and a yanko (chariot) imo Quote
Chariot Performance Posted December 19, 2008 Report Posted December 19, 2008 a yanko (chariot) imo Yanko!!! That is a true compliment!!! Quote
