Troubledsol Posted December 15, 2008 Report Posted December 15, 2008 Not a bad start but if you have a Dremel you could notch your stator plate and make it +4 Quote

I have 310/27.5 in mine and runs hard....I'm at 200 above sea level...anything right around there would be a great starting point...you will have to dial it in though from there since not all motors are the same. firebanshee Posted December 18, 2008 Report Posted December 18, 2008 dont i need a flywheel puller? and what else Yes, you need a puller ( NOT a 3 jaw ) and i use a tie down strap wrapped around the flywheel and the foot peg to hold it from turning when you break the nut loose or an impact. You DEF want to do the timing mod it makes a HUGE diff. Q#56:How do I modify my stock stator plate to advance the timing? A#56:First of all, you need to make a mark on the stator plate to use as a reference for advancing the timing. Once the stator cover and flywheel are removed (see Q#47), etch a mark on the stator plate on the right side (or towards the rear of the bike) of the stator plate where the upper and lower case halves meet. This mark will be your Quote

GrMeyer Posted January 5, 2009 Author Report Posted January 5, 2009 (edited) Well got some jets and took the banshee out to Glamis this weekend...I started with the 310's and ended up dropn down to 300's The damn thing has never ran so great!!!! I couldnt believe that just a head and K&N pods would make. The only other bike out there that could pull by me on the olds hill was a ported and a milled banshee. But for now it runs like a champ and will wait for summer to Port the jugs. Thanks for all the Help Edited January 5, 2009 by GrMeyer Quote
