K&N Air Box Lid

Not sure but I am leary of running without a lid when I upgrade my air filtration soon to something better. Yeah I already know that the lid chokes the intake system. Saw one of these on Ebay and later on BikeBandit.com.

 

Did a search on BansheeHQ and no info. So has anyone tried this and what is your opinion?

I used to run the EHS lid (its just an outerwear) and it worked good.One time it clogged affter several days in the sand.I never tried the K&N lid.I prefer pods now.I only ride sand. sorry no help here.

I've never used the K&N lid, but I use an EHS lid like shee4speed was talking about. I like it alot, it works well and looks cool. The best thing I like about it is it repels water. The K&N is pleated, so I'm not sure how well it would work if riding in wet conditions.

Never ran it, never appealed to me.

 

 

I stuck with K&N pods, mostly a sand rider. And I love the power the pods make.

I had one on my bike fefor I switched over to pod filters. I liked it alot. Thay come with a outerwhere so thay will repel water just as good as the EHS lid. I will sell you mine if your interisted. I only used it a few times befor I got bit by the bug... Send a PM if interisted.

K&N powerlids are a good way to increase airflow and filtration . I run one and my inner filter hardly gets any dust and needs less maintenance but the powerlid needs to be cleaned frequently.

I can also say from experience that the EHS lid is pretty cool. You can either buy the complete lid (pretty pricey) or the kit to mod it yourself for about 50-60. I like it a lot and the owner of them helped me out when I had a question.

i run one, def worth it if not just for the added air flow but it catches most everything before getting to your main filter, 2 filters is cheap insurance against dirt and sand in your cylinder
