I'm looking for a set of tires that will work well in woods with rocks here and there. They need to be tough and the sides have to be tough as well so they dont pop on rocks and such. I hear razr 2's are good and if you guys can confirm this where is a good place to buy them? Thanks

why not some kenda knarlys??

I saw a post a while back and people said that razr tires are better, but I'm looking for opinions so I'll look into those too. Wheres the best place to buy?

Rocky Mountain

I had the razor2s and they are a good tire with a tuff side wall as well. The knarlys look like they would hook up as well though, dunno!

ive run both. the razrs tend to dig a hole quicker than the knarlys. plus the razrs are heavier. i personally think the razrs and those type tires are worthless and ive run them all.

www.rockymountainatv.com is the cheapest place to buy tires. just go there and check out their selection.

I run Razr 2s and love them. Yeah, they are kinda heavy... but I roost and rip like a bat out of hell!

I run stock YFZ450 front tires and rims... for $50 for the pair of rims with tires, off a brand new 450, can't beat the price!

I ride in nothing but ROCKY trails and I LOVE the 6 ply razrs. I havent tried the razr2's but I hear they are heavier. The razrs are tough as hell. I have got maybe two flats in the last 5 years and they were both from 3 inch nails. With the 6 ply tires I could still ride it home just fine cause the sidewalls are so strong.

I wont run anything else.

How do the knarlys do in sand? Not sand dunes, but patches of sand found during desert riding. I am looking for an alternative to Razrs/Holeshots...

they are better than razrs thats for sure. razr have always been worthless in soft shit. they like to bury to easily.

i run the knarlys every where, they are a good tire.

I never would have thought so, but my razors were hooking up great in the sand. Plenty enough to pull the front up through the 1st couple of gears with +4 swinger. And the razor 2s are even better but heavier.

Pure sport bandit. With kevlar, tough as hell.

 I had a set on my old Banshee, and they were bad ass.A little on the heavy side, but if your bike's got the balls you'll be fine. 20x11x10 work better than the 9's.

I think I am going to try them. The Razrs do work well, but I think the Knarlys will be a nice change. :thanks:

I recently bought razr 2, and im not impressed at all..

I personally think they suck..They are 2 months old, i have 2 plugs in bought rear tires, bought 1 new front already, popped it on the first ride..

Loco is 100% right they berry themselves very fast in loose stuff..I should have listened and bought kendas, i will not be buying these again..

Im running 22's in the rear, i borrowed from a friend and love them, but i will be buying kendas next time around and they are cheaper aswell..
