Keyser Soze Posted October 10, 2008 Author Report Posted October 10, 2008 (edited) Oct 9 271 Seriously though how much difference does weight make. I know 45lb cant be much but what if I got all the way down to 215? Anything noticable? Edited October 10, 2008 by jugriggs Quote
csrmel Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 congratulations. it does a lot. fat is like a dynamic weight. when you take off from a drag launch the fat on youre body tends to want to stay in place, so even though you hold onto the handlebars, the fat sloshes backwards. same thing for hard braking, jumping, etc. i went from 265lbs to 220lbs and i noticed a huge improvement in acceleration, not to mention my physical stamina went way up. i can ride a lot longer before getting tired now. it's also easier to load/unload the banshee. plus i dont sweat as much. if you want to run hard and keep up with the skinny pricks you HAVE to lose the weight. it's the only way. if you get down to 215 or 200 you would gain a lot of acceleration, cornering and braking performance. 92 Z71 Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Dude, good job! 45 lbs is quite a bit to lose in my eyes. I think you'll notice a difference, it may be hard to notice because it's a gradual change. If you could go from 315 to 215 in an instant you would definitaly notice. Keep up the good work man, you're lookin great. Quote
Keyser Soze Posted October 10, 2008 Author Report Posted October 10, 2008 Damn more acceleration you guys got me pumped. Yea I always lose to skinny guys. Quote

boneyardbanshee. Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 hey man that is awsome. keep up the good work. screw the riding benifets, thats all extra, the health benifets are much greater. Not to mention the extra attention you get from the ladies Quote
DallasGDub Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Man that is bad ass. I know it is tuff. Keepin it off is even harder. It is a life style change. Here is my before/after picture. All together I lost 55lbs in a year. All diet, no exercise besides usual everyday walking and stairs. I am 5'3, so 205 is ALOT. Quote
Stellar Performance Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Guys.....this is amazing! You are doing a heck of a job and keep it up. I can tell you at one point in my life I weighed in at 205. I am 5'10" tall, but at 205 I looked huge. I now average 165 to 170 and my energy and stamina are mure greater, I feel better, and my bike hauls ass! So for you guys to lose that much weight and continue to do so, that is one heck of an accomplishment. Keep in mind....its not just about feeling better and going faster, your health is a huge part of it also! Congrats!!!! Quote
MistBanshee Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Wow way to go guys! Does make ya'll look younger too then your before shots. Quote
onebanshee Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 I read somewhere that 7lbs removed is about the same as adding 1hp. So, i dont know if this actually true, it may have been someone blowing smoke up my ass, but it seems true. I am a little guy, 5'8 160 and I seem to kill other people that have similar mods. When we go to the dunes, my bro will let me ride his bike if he cant beat someone when he is on it, he is 6'0 and 200ish. It makes a BIG difference, if the race was close with him on it, I will usually pull 2-3 bikes on them when I am on his. PEACE ONE Quote
bellracing2 Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 Thats why I don't drag race anymore . At 6'5" 280 lbs its hard to win anything xcept sumo , and beer drinking contests . Quote
BellicoseBanshee Posted October 10, 2008 Report Posted October 10, 2008 It is a life style change. That is a fact! I noticed a few years ago, after turning 30, that I needed to make a few dietary changes. It sucked at first, but man I am glad I did. I kinda beat my body to the punch, . It is not easy to lose and maintain, you guys should be proud, it is quite an accomplishment! Quote
