i needed to have my chain adjusted, it got to be too long, and while it was there i had them install my new front shocks and my cascade thumb throttle. i have like no idea how to work on a quad, i changed the rear shock and it was a major PITA and took me forever. is there anywhere good you could recommend for me to take my bike to for the next time it needs service?

If you are paying to have your chain adjusted, you better just sell the quad right now and buy a PS3 and some atv games. Forget real riding.

Sorry man.

today i did my first banshee repair, i noticed that one of the manifolds was cracked, so i installed a new one, it wasnt that hard, and i felt pretty damn good after i finished it and the bike started on the first kick! im going to try and work on the mojave myself first, and see if i get stuck. i do want to learn how to repair these things myself. sean if i get stuck ill hit you up.

i also need to turn my idle up a little, my bike has the tors removed. basically i turn the brass screws on the outsides of both carbs in correct? what is the right way to do it like a 1/2 turn in on both?

Yeah just turn them in, do it so you get them both set at the same height.

Whats messed up on the mojave? And where do you keep ur bikes?

i keep my bikes up in my friends basement in new rochelle, the mojave someone gave to me, and it starts and runs, but has no back brakes, the choke cable is broken and the reverse lockout is broken so it can always go into reverse, other than that its just body shit, its missing the front plastic that holds the headlight and key, i just ordered that, and is missing a bunch of bolts that hold the plastics and seat on. im just trying to fix it up to keep as a 2nd bike like if someone wants to go riding with us. the banshee seems like its much easier to work on and get at everything that needs to be fixed.

The choke and reverse were always messing up on the Mojave we had. Also the plastic part on the carb where the choke connects can break off easy and cause problems and make it spit and sputter.

With what i know now about banshees,i wouldn't buy new,you can build one from the ground up the way you want and probably not have that much in it. Depending on how wild you want to go.
