  1. I went with round for availability reasons in my area, and for looks. I'm sure its as strong as the rectangular tubing other people use. I've had no complaints yet. As as for the looks, I never personally liked the square tubing on the stock swingarm next to the round tubing used for the rest of the frame. It never looked right for me, so when I decided to fabricate swingarms I made it paramount that I use round tubing on my design. I think it just flows better with the bike. Plus, if I need to polish the steel before welding for the chrome process or what ever reason, its easier because I can chuck it up in the lathe.
  2. God damned right. We told some guy on the phone yesterday that we don't take checks, credit cards or promises...that leaves only one thing--CASH! The guy showed up with cash.....unlike the last 2.
  3. I"M GOING INTO BUSINESS!!!!!
  4. LOL Apparently we're going out of town They need to add another day inbetween saturday and sunday. Call it myfuckingdaytodostuff day. It could be like 12 hours long. I could live with that.

  7. Almost. Just have the front end bolted on. Gonna get a swinger welded up here soon, and I have an axle and other related drive train components on their way. After that, a fuel pump, tank and battery and I'm gonna try to start this bitch.
  8. That and more. I damn near fabbed the entire frame. I just hope it works out in the end.
  9. Damn you been workin your ass off on that thing! Looking good. What are you using for plastics? Stock/Fullbore or something?? Also, what are you using for a bender? Your fab skills are looking pretty good too!
  10. He should do what I do: I rub my wifes nose in it for not paying good enough attention. That'll get him potty trained in a hurry.
  11. Mine didn't come with split washers.... But they have never come out. They are kinda gunked up anyway, but even after I clean them, they just tighten up. JFizzle, if you are anywhere near North Salt Lake, go to THB Bolt and Nut Supply and ask for some nylon patch cap screws in the size you need. They are like a nyloc bolt. The only thing is, you are supposed to replace them if you ever back them out. Not reuseable really.
  12. What the hell is spring break? Its 28 degrees right now, so I' think I'd rather work than do anything outside.
  13. Lemme know the next time you are gonna sell a set. I'm gonna be looking for some again here in the next few month.
  14. God I hope not, but yeah...I think it is.
  15. You have to provide a bill of sale complete with the previous owners name and address etc, the vin number (which will get inspected) and the price you paid. I've done it, and its a pain in the ass, but not impossible. You just have to put up with nit wits at the DMV that don't know their job.
  16. I was sitting there chokin on my lunch and my pup was looking at me like "hey, you gonna eat that?"
  17. LOL!
  18. Damn! Better than my idea of paying a midget to open and close my carbs for me.
  19. OH CHRIST! I got ham and roast beef on multi grain bread on my lap top.
  20. HAHAHAHAHA That picture is awesome. I was gonna get something like that for my pup, and I'm sure my sister had one on her 3 month old.
  21. I was able to do this with my banshee a couple years ago because the hatch marks were still on the cylinder walls, and no gouges...If there is a gouge, there is a chance that the ring will follow it, possibly twisting it and popping it out of the groove.
  22. Cool... Actuallly I have 2 MAP's right now. IAT sensor is next on the list....
  23. I agree.... I'd also like to add a thing or two based on my experience with the local jackasses here. Don't fuck up the customers parts, then blame him, Yamaha, the weather, his truck, UPS, 3 of Saturns moons or President Bush. If you fuck up say "I'm sorry" and fix it/pay for the part. Don't be an asshole to your customers. Answer your phone. Don't ask "Why do you want that color...thats gonna be ugly." When a customer shows up when you said his parts were going to be done, don't say "Uh, you dropped some parts off? I can't find them anywhere." because you haven't even sand blasted them yet. Just tell the truth and tell them that you are behind schedule, then get your ass out there and get them done. You'd think the 3-4 shops here would have figured that out by now. If I did more PC'ing I'd set up and do it myself.
