Pics of my attempt at cheap HP

Abosolutely NO advantage over a refridgeration unit. Makes your house "clammy" and kind of sticky and damp. Works well on hotter days as long as the relative humidity isn't too high. If its high humidity, there is no evaporation to cool the air. (Evaporation is essentially a cooling process). For the most part I'd take central A/C over this shit anyday. -

Wait wait wait.... So, are trails dune friendly? Er..no, are turbo dunes cub friendly? I'm a bit bored today too, but its only 85 and I spent 3 hours on the roof getting the swamper runnin like an old Model T. -
I think thats been listed on eBay before. I remember a bike that looked like it had been tagged or something in these bright yellow green and blue colors.

That aint no shit. Right now my needle is a bit fat. One clip position in fact. I need a minimum of 45 minutes to get those lowered. Yeah, I still have the TORS tops on. I need to get the eliminator kit, then find someone that can drill and tap my carbs.

Trying to decide, do it or not?

I would think suing the government would be one of the hardest things to do and win. Not across the board, but if you decide to sue be prepared to spend alot of money and time fighting. Like Travis said, talk to a good lawyer, perhaps one that specializes in this type of thing. Also, with my experience with some lawyers, if you ask them if they do this sort of thing, of course they will say yes as the dollar signs roll in their eyes, but ask for some case history and some references you can call. Also, if you were to win $4,000,000 for instance, your attorneys fees would take most of that. We just went through a simple bankruptcy hearing with a company that stifffed us venders to a tune of about $4 mil. My share was a paultry $30k. The attorneys fees went over $3.5 million over 3 years. We won't ever see a dime of the money we were owed, the laywers got it all. -

Be ready for there to be more than one lurking in the bushes if you decide to lay for them. Theives are fucking pussies. From experience doing this, there were as many as 5 at once casing my parents house as we waited inside. If you do happen to get the jump on them remember one thing to tell the cops "I came home saw these guys, and I thought one of them was holding a gun" Be prepared. Scaring someone can create quite a stir, and adrenaline can make someone seemingly weak, very strong and irrational. If anything, go for the knees and or collar bones imho. If someone has a fucked up collar bone, they won't be swinging at you very hard. Hope you get them.

After looking at the box of parts, and reading your posts I'm beginning to think you know a thing or two about this I know www.mrturbo.com can turbo anything, but for 5 grand, then I get to put it all together. As far as a "universal" ECM/ECU how does that work? Is it home grown? As far as my electrical engineering skills go, I can put a battery in a smoke alarm, and I can get my MP3 player to work about 80% of the time. I understand a few of the fundamentals of running a turbo, is there a site somewhere I can read up in depth on this stuff? I know what you are talking about with the 11.8 to 12.1, but does running that "rich" affect performance or is it still in a good perfomance zone, but also a safer zone where a runaway turbo condition can't happen? I know with my current ECM 14.1 is the AFR, so is there a chance that the stock injectors wouldn't be able to keep up under boost conditions?? I have TONS of questions, so if you do have a site or some sort of literature I could pick up let me know. This shit facinates me. Even if I never turbo anything, I'm a fan of forced induction. -

Awesome project. I"ve never really dared turbo anything because I know with the luck I have, I'd get a critical melt down first time out of the box and end up setting myself on fire. Got anything to turbo a CBR600f4i? -
Washing firetrucks would be too easy. Let him work on cleaning out stalls with a spoon.

Have you thought about going real old school with something like a Honda Trail 90?

It sucks to hear about stuff like this. I have friends that ride, and they've wanted me to get a bike too, but the idiots here give me a workout in a 2 ton truck, I can't imagine trying to get to work, a simple 8 mile drive, on something with as much protection as a 2x4. I've ridden bikes for ever, but on the back with my dad. I loved it, and was going to get a bike early on, but I've seen how bad its gotten around here over the last 20 years. I see someone doing something stupid on the road every single day, and I know when I see a motorcycle approaching, I don't pull out. I don't give a shit if I and the people behind me have to wait an extra 20 whole seconds, I'm not pulling out in front of a motorcycle. There was a fireman killed about a block from my house last august. He was riding southbound at 40 mph on a Suzuki 600 I'm thinking, when some people in approaching cars were doing some sort of road rage thing where they would pass, pull in front of the other car and slam the brakes. I guess by the time they got up by my house they were doing around 60-70 mph, and these kids decided that slamming on the brakes wasn't enough, so they pulled the e-brake (no tail lights would come on, making the other driver hit them was their idea). Well, that locked up the rear wheels and they started spinning, they slid into on coming traffic and this 23 year old father of 2 got hit before he could even touch his brakes. So far 3 people have been charged with vehicular homicide but that doesn't really matter much when I drive by that spot everyday and see someone has put up more flowers and a cross for him on the side of the road. There are just too many stupid fucking drivers around here for me. -
I don't think so. I think he just sat up real quick, then passed the cop as the cop was throwing a fit, then he took the next exit and hit 120 again just in case he was being followed. With that being said, are street bikes very aerodynamic with a rider, or is that part of the performance?? Something like they use raw horsepower to over come a high coefficient of friction, and that allows them to have a really good braking dynamic when the rider needs it? It makes sense. Sitting up on a bike acting like a parachute, then tucking in when you need the speed. Tats, on that slipper clutch...how does that work? Is it one of those things that only slips a set amount when the wheel is over powering the engine, but grabs when the engine is over powering the rear wheel? Sounds like a really cool feature that would save your ass if you happen to click down a gear too many.

Did anyone else notice that the phrase "Eleven plus two" has an anagram that reads "Twelve plus one"? Boggling.
-
You are correct. The "Hailariousoussuos" or the "Hailorisious Falmordius" became extinct 25 million years ago.

My buddy was doin 110 on the fwy here when he saw a little blob off the side of the road. He saw it was a motorcycle UHP a little too late, but he said he shut the throttle and sat up and was at 70 in just a few seconds with out hard breaking. Is that the slipper clutch thing you were talking about?

LOL What a stupid asshole! Thats beyond pathetic honestly. I'm still having lathe problems, no carriers being made = no engine for me. -
Probably. I've been thinking about this all day now, and I think its just some moron trying to be all cutting edge on his teaching skills. Being that it was alive makes it bad imho. A simple diagram in a book would have shown just as much. I think this is just a bad teacher trying to make a name for himself. And honestly it doesn't surprise me. I had more than my fair share of fucked up teachers here. Some really good teachers, but about 70% of them have some sort of mental disorder. I even had one teacher that was a coke head, and had no problem asking some of us kids if we had "any" to put in his "piece", and that he wouldn't tell anyone if we did if we just gave him some. Dude was constantly wiping his nose and wringing his hands like he just whacked a line. Then he'd start talking to his desk and the doors n shit. He eventually got busted with a DUI and they make him teach civics rather than drivers ed.

Yep. Its been on the news for a couple of days now and its fucken wrong. I'm no PETA activist, but on all levels this type of "learnin" isn't neccesary and is really disturbing. Honestly, most kids don't need to see it working in a live animal when you could just hack something out on the chalk board. Either way they don't really give a shit and they can't wait to just go home.
