  1. how does the shee run? big difference in power? I'm having Jim do just about what you have except with 66mm pistons and cpi inframes. I just need to get the money and then its off to Jim's master hands.
  2. It seems like this side clutch side plate isn't too roughed up and shouldn't be too much work to polish. I also bought a aluminum polishing kit through http://www.caswellplating.com that should help it turn out alot better. I loved the link to Meat_Head's posting It was really really helpful and i plan on doing my cylinders too. THANKS MEAT HEAD for the help. P.S those cylinders you did meat head, gave me a big one LOL. you the man!
  3. Thanks guys I didn't see that section on polishing. I know it's gonna be work and to keep clean, but i figure it's cheaper than buyimg on for $200 of e-bay. Yes I have a dremel too.
  4. I was wondering how hard is it to strip the paint off clutch cover using paint striper and to polish the aluminum to a mirror finish. I'll try using mothers aluminum polish and a drill bit buffer. Any Ideas or would it be wrong to expose the aluminum? Here's a pick of what I'm trying to do:
  5. I use a fanny pack, but what i do is take the seat off strap the fanny pack around the back of it and put the seat back on. Just don't put pop or soda's in it or it'll explode when you open it lol.
  6. I was looken at them Gecko's and they looked like a good mean sand tire until I keep hearing that they suck in sand, but hey thats why I ask you guys before I waste money. I'll probably try out the sand stars for silver lake.
  7. Thats a big AFFIRMATIVE!!!
  8. Between sand stars and the turbo paddle which would work better for dune running? Whats the difference between turbo paddles and any other straight paddle?
  9. Did the person who wants to mill your head tell you that?? I never heard of such a thing. Well I have a noss head with no problems.
  10. heck i have no clue never did a dumb thing like that. Depending how hard you ride it oh i'll guess 5 hours.
  11. LOL one more good reason to come to banshee HQ. lol
  12. I like trail riding, but when i wanna get crazy and rip the dunes or sand pits is #1 for me. So i vote sand. It's only right to let the shee play on home ground. lol
  13. Whats the reasoning of negative inch swing arms. I was told once, but for got why someone would want a smaller than stock swing arm. Isn't it just for dirt racing? And how the hell do ya keep the front end down going smaller?
  14. what octane gas you running with that advanced timing and how far are you advanced??
  15. Wow thats bad for a 2001. The front nose plastic looks twisted and broke or something else is wrong there. Thats way too much $$$$ for that shee. Talk about rough riding.
  16. he must not have good insurance if he's gotta sell that nice looken quad he only rode 3 times.
  17. If you do that stock looken grill take a pic so i can see what it looks like, then maybe you could make me one for the right price. thanks
  18. I dunno, but that 4 cylinder shee at that link looks like alot of $$$$$.
  19. Like mentioned either one will do. Whatever brand you had the best luck with i guess get. I know the flat slides have a better flow without the round slide distrubance. On the shee i dunno if that will matter, but when i do sleds the flatslides flow better compared to round slides.
  20. That guy filming is a dumb ass. I had to mute it to watch, which sucked and i mean sucked lol, just so I couldn't hear him. I dunno what she sees in him lol But then again she isn't too bright either haha.
  21. Oh boy! your in the same boat as me lol I just got engaged too back in october. Don't worry though i still plan on keeping my toys lol. I'll need them to get away from time to time haha.
  22. I like the purple/yellow color years the best, i believe '95 or '96 had them? I bought a '02 white & black & silver, but also like the '03 red and black. LOL the most favorite is pretty much your favorite colors and if you like j arms or not.
  23. When i was shopping for a used shee I couldn't believe the prices of some of them for used with even broken fenders. I couldn't even find a '87 cheaper than $2000. So I figured why buy a used and abused one for $2000-$4000 when I can buy new for $5500. I feel the demand for them is still there and I would say yes the value will be even better after their gone. One of the best 2 stroke quads that been on the market almost 20 years hell yeah value should be great.
  24. Yeah i know not another dune tire question. I've been reading them and most of them say depends on the area so I'll get to the point. Silver Lake is the location. Those of you who been there or have good experience with dune tires what would be the best tire for hooking up at silver lake? I see alot of good reviews about sand stars are they that good or can you find a better dune tire for my application? thanks for any help.
  25. Sounds like my friends only they sold their quads because they all got their women nocked up. I used to ride with 11 buds now i'm reduced to riding with my cousin and his 500 Scrambler.
