Is Brake Fluid The Same As Power Steering Fluid?
die_infidel replied to erbilabuc's topic in General Banshee Discussion
NO!!! DO NOT PUT POWER STEERING IN BRAKE SYSTEM. I have replaced so many master cylinders and brake caliper seals do to people putting the steering fluid in. Sanddunejunkie is right it will eat and wreck anything made of rubber. It doesn't take long neither before seals go and your flying through a stop sign or light. You can however put tranny fluid in power steering for a substatute. -
well they got the ratio's i'm looking for hehehe now the question is do they last long. I would hope so.

So that's who stoled my gocart tires!!!!

edelbrock makes em for the 4 stroke quads, but don't think for the 2 strokers. I've always had mikuni with no problems, but gonna try a keihin for the shee.

wow so thats what a crapshee looks like. Damn i like new looks, but something on it doesn't look right.

CPI's don't have spark arrestors, but you could buy some Cobra "sparkys" that attatch to the end of the silencers. Not very attractive, but does the job. I believe they were around $60 each, but not sure.

those trailbosses are a P.O.S my friend has one and could climb up the dunes for shit at silver lake. I could walk faster than one of em LOL as for the ex it its a really nice reliable quad but as far lining up with a shee i could beat em when i was stock down a highway.

Banshee Vs Cr500 Straight Out Race
die_infidel replied to #51 BANSHEE's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I would give it to the cr500 those dirt bikes are always quicker not to mention a 500 on a dirt bike thats gotta be a killer the cr250 is plenty fast as it is. Although many factors determine a winner so hopefully you get more factors to win. -
Thanks guys I plan on getting bigger carbs with a different intake and porting don't know when, but hoping soon. How bad on gas is that set up of yours Banchetta?? I love the power, but don't wanna fill up every 10 mins. lol

It's the wiseco 4mm long rod stroker with the cylinder baseplate and 795 wiseco pistons to match. I'm in Mid michigan. Weather temp in summer are usually 75-90 degree, so somewhere in that area i wanna jet it to. It's all stock jetted and I'm just about done building the shee and need the jetting and what settings to put the carb at to finalize it. So something like 92 octane gas, 300 mains, 30 pilots, what about e-clip position and air screw turns?? I'd rather have the main rich to start with then come down from there.
-
I was wondering if someone could give me an idea or starting point for jetting stock carbs to all the mods in my signature and what octane gas would be good. I'm at sea level and wanna set it to a 75 f degree day. I plan on getting porting and carbs to match in time, but for now i wanna jet to what i have so far thanks. p.s How well do you think this setup will pull a 15/40 gear ratio on dirt, sand, pavement etc.

When i bought my 2002 shee new at the dealer i never had a shee previously and i knew more about the banshee i was buying, than the guy selling it to me LOL

I just bought this kit too waiting to install it. Is this a common problem or just installed wrong? Whats the proper way we should install the dirt digger kit? soak it in what kind of oil?

I hate twist throttles you could say i'm used to thumb and don't wanna kill myself with twist. I never like the idea of having to hang on for life and what I'm hanging on to is also the throttle.

I was wondering at wot with stock shee in 6th gear what is the approximent maximum rpms at the engine or maybe just the engines maximum rpm at wot without a load. I was asked and really didn't have a for sure answer. And I know rider weigh and etc.. matters so just a estimated rpm will do. Thanks

Sounds like a plan. I was also thinking about having an annual banshee hq gathering at silver lake all with banshees here should go. I'd be cool i think not to mention a day of banshee domination at silver lake hehehe. I need to get my shee done so i dunno when any trips will be planned yet. Let yas know.

OH come on IT'S MICHIGAN what ya expect. we could see a foot of snow yet or it could rain or it could get warm or we could either deal with it or move out. What ya expect being surrounded by great lakes. My shee is stored for the winter and I don't expect good weather until mid april. I just don't wanna mess with jets every season and besides i sled during winter. My shee has too much billet aluminum to take out in winter.

Never tried v paddles, but someone has to so I probably will and if I don't like em too bad LOL. Yup take my name down I'll be riding there this summer, soon as i get my engine shipped to passionre and back. I'm thinking either between sand stars or kings turbo paddles. Or whatever you guys had best results with at silver.
