i was thinkin maybe a pinto, or maybe even a ford aspire.. -
yea about 4000 to 4500 rpms. my bro(stclark816) is the one with gorr woods port. but i ride it alot and its pretty nuts for a $200 port job. my brother is actually selling his so u might talk to him or he might say something here. the dyno sheets we got from the builder are shitty. you cant see a fuckin thing on them but i saw it on the computer when the runs were over. sredish has gorr woods port too and i think hes sold on it. he loves it. you would love it for any type of riding. in the trails its fuckin badass, the power comes on so quick. and its a monster on the hills and if you want you can throw a 16 or 17 tooth front sprocket on it and it will easily pull them for a drag race.

man you are a joke. you think i didnt run a 50 pilot? i ran them all from 42 to 55. it ran better with the smaller pilots (42 to 48). so much for your 50 pilot theory. redlined, my port was not a drag port. thats not what i had built anyway. and why cant we make a comparison between the gorr porting and passion porting when we had both kinds of porting to test? how come everyone claims to have all this low end power with their passion setup but i didnt and all the guys around here that have passion porting dont either? i dont think you have a clue as to what you are talking about. jim claimed his engine would produce tons of low end power. and BD claims his has tons of low end power, so why didnt mine? its simple, get your shit dynoed and let us know when the power really comes on. my bros woods port came on around 4000 to 4500. i highly doubt that your porting by passion will come on that low.

you will need to rejet the carbs before you ride. so not even ride it until you get that thing rejetted or you might blow up a top end. do you know anything about jetting or your carbs?? if not i suggest finding someone near you who does.

that shit sucks. im in agreement with banchetta. i know exactly how he feels in this situation. i however, didnt let it go as far as going thru all those different setups. i got sick of it after 5 months and cant even imagine what banchetta has gone thru. it def sounds worse than my experience.

thats very true. you can turn a yfz450 into a badass hillclimber, mxer and whatever else you want. i ride some steep ass hills with mine and dont have any problems. and its stock length and stock engine.

u make those bars stan???

well see, that is the problem. jim doesnt know the problem. that is why there are so many passion engines out there that arent running to their claimed output. he gave me the run around about domes, jetting, and other things that might possibly be the problem. he didnt know what was wrong and to this day still doesnt. he offered to swap them out after i had messed with them, not before and i told him not to worry about it because they had already been messed with and because i was tired of fucking with them. i dont really wanna fight about this, just makin sure everyone knows what happened.

if you want really good throttle response, low and mid range you need an eric gorr port job. his woods port is unreal. sredish and stclark816 can vouch for this. best 200 bucks you can spend. ptmids will also get you there. aftermarket head to bump up compression will give you some low end as well. sredish, i run a heavier flywheel on my cr500 banshee and it helps alot. its got even more grunt with it. i think i was running a 15 ounce weight.

powdercoat all the way. its so much more durable than paint. 250 is still kinda high but if thats the only place that does it you might be stuck payin that. its still worth it. or you could paint your frame, put it all back together, ride it once or twice and tear it apart and repaint it cuz of all the chips and scratches!!
-
where are you located jinx?? must not be far from me huh? its 400 bucks for 8 hours of tuning and whatever. you can have as many people there as you want. hell between 4 ppl even thats not shit for a whole days tuning. ill be taking my cr500 banshee down there sometime soon as i should be gettin the engine back. this guy that runs the dyno is a builder and hes knows his shit and is real helpful. maybe we need to setup a post and find out how many ppl wanna hit this dyno up...

what about ppl with non 350 banshees? not that mines not a 350..

they are all pretty much gay but i subscribe to dirt wheels simply for the fact that i like to have one magazine comin in just in case new products come out. that way i know about them and know where to get them. their articles suck. i mean how many times can u do a review on the blaster or banshee??? they are severely biased and whoever puts the most cash in dirtwheels pockets will win all the reviews and get the biggest responses. simple as that. check out the back of every dirtwheel. what do you see? i bet that costs quite a lot and yamaha damn near everytime wins the shootout or whatever. you notice that you dont really see polaris advertising much in dirtwheels. how many good things do they say about the predator? they really are good machines, i owned one. polaris just doesnt suck dirt wheels dicks like yamaha does. catchin my drift?

just pro pegs or pro pegs with heel guards?
locogato11283 replied to supercoop's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
if they did fit, it would be very very close. prolly too close for comfort for me. -
ok lemme take a stab at this. when using a 4mm long rod stroker crank you use the wiseco 795 series pistons. once you get to around .80 over i think they stop making the 795 series piston. once you get to that bore you have to switch over and run the blaster pistons. this is with the long rod crank. so if what you are asking is if you can use the same blaster pistons with the stock stroke and long rod, i believe the answer is no. if you were gonna leave it stock stroke you would stay with regular banshee pistons. hopefully someone can chime in and confirm whether or not this is right.

i took the stock shit to a machine shop and had them make me one out of steel. that was the piece that slips over the piece that connects to the engine. once i had that made i got some 5/8" round stock and bent and manipulated it so that it would clear everything. i dont think youll be able to use the actual stock pieces cuz it prolly wont clear. its not an easy task and i think it was the very last thing i did when i built mine. ill try and get some pictures for you.

just pro pegs or pro pegs with heel guards?
locogato11283 replied to supercoop's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
both my banshees have pro pegs with the heal gaurds. i like having them there to stand on for one and also for insurance that my foot doesnt slip off and end up under my tire. i would say go for heal gaurds, especially if you are used to having something under your heal. -
its ported. def not a stock engine.

150:1?? damn thats crazy. thats like hardly any oil at all. is that in a drag bike or play bike holyman, do you know??
