OK, so let me get this straight.. You started this thread with what intention? YOU assembled the motor, YOU went the cheap route with the crank and YOU had another motor blow up the day before... It seems to me that you're the common denominator here in this series of unfortunate events. So, what do you expect to happen?

Both our 18DMs get hot after 3-4 passes in the dunes. Even jetted correctly on gas they warm up fast. The 18s on alky I've been around definitely stay cooler longer but eventually get hot enough that they need cooled down.

I've got both and I think my Elka Stage 5s perform on another level from anything I've ever used. I do like the ride of my Fox Evols though.
