  1. Young Guns Racing is a CPI dealer. He can get you a good deal on a brand new set.
  2. I've herd several things but most of it is private. I don't think I should be the one to get into that. If you can't get a hold of Jim, there are plenty of more than capable builders on BansheeHQ that you can use.
  3. OEM vs. Mattoon. No internals. Both have covers and dipsticks.
  4. OEM vs. Mattoon. No internals. Dipsticks in. Pump covers on.
  5. Nah, it was brand new when I sent it to him. It was in November probably.
  6. Cameron has one that I sent him. I think he upgraded to the iPhone5. Call/text the gaywad.
  7. I talked to Dietrich Mateschitz. He said he would definitely be interested in attending some races.
  8. I've talked to Red Bull, Monster and AMP so far.
  9. What in the fuck.
  10. One ride is a big difference from a race series.
  11. Decreased. I believe a lot of that is due to increased fuel costs and expenses. I know the hillclimb attendance has decreased quite a bit as well. Some of that has to do with the schedule being so hectic.
  12. I was kidding. I read it. Just kidding.
  13. Lost me at WINDYCITYJOHN400
  14. Nah, he's too scared. That's why he deleted it. Lots of threats from a dude who isn't doing shit!
  15. My new Mattoon clutch cover.
  16. Cam would recommend both Mattoon and Chariot. He can get you whatever parts you want or you can buy direct.
  17. Everything either one makes is top notch. I've got parts from both on my bike.
  18. While I don't find 300' particularly exciting, it doesn't mean that I wouldn't like to see it grow. It would help all aspects of the ATV industry. I am not partnered with PSDA, nor do I sponsor them. Last year I got a call from them asking if I would be interested in helping promote their races because of my ability to reach a broad audience. I agreed as I always like to help where I can. No, I do not agree with their rules and I have expressed that from day one. I think if they want to grow the series they need to make the necessary changes that will bring them big company sponsors and possibly media coverage. I am not sure what sponsors they have as that's none of my business. No, I have not attended an organized 300' race. This is due mainly because I have so many hillclimbs during the year that any of the local ones have been on the same weekend as the climbs. I wanted to attend Leerjak last year but it fell on the same weekend as the September Red Wing doubleheader. I can't be everywhere all the time.
  19. I race in a series that has a set of rules and to ride you must abide by them. My real point is that safety gear rules/regs should lead to some sponsors/media stepping up to cover races. You just aren't going to see any of them while guys are still wearing running shoes and t-shirts. And in my opinion, the drag racing scene could really benefit from those sponsors/media coverage.
  20. Anything that weighs 300 pounds and makes 100+HP going 80+MPH has a pretty good chance of wrecking I think!
  21. Don't be ridiculous. We're talking about basic fucking safety gear here.
  22. 40, 90, 100.. They can all be deadly speeds. I posted my thoughts there which address all of what you said.
  23. The dunes are a different story altogether. The point of rules and regulations is to provide a common ground in which all tracks/series can go by. Having some sort of bare minimum standards will help increase the chance of outside sponsors. The bottom line is that without some sort of media coverage, big time sponsors or private donations, the sport will go nowhere. I'd like to see it advance. NO big company is going to endorse a sport where people wear tennis shoes and t-shirts on 100+HP machines running 100mph down a track. It's just not going to happen.
  24. The problem is that the racers don't want to mess with safety gear or any sort of regulations.. Well, except for asphalt racers because the tracks have mandatory rules. The sand tracks are the problem. They need to set a nationwide set of rules and be done with it. People will conform to it. Most track owners don't care or at least seem to care. They continue to allow it.
