  1. Those organizations have rules and regulations. I mean, you generally don't see the riders in tennis shoes and cut off shirts. I like to ruffle feathers. I am all for the advancement. My hands are pretty well tied though. I run about 10-12 hillclimb weekends from May to September. I don't have a lot of extra time to put on any races. I will do what I can though. I think if all the promoters and tracks got together and said these are the rules, that most people would be fine with it. You can't put safety rules to a vote. They need to be done plain and simple. I think there are probably several big companies who would like to be involved, but there's no way they're backing something that looks so sloppy. There needs to be a certain amount of professionalism in the drag racing community to be taken seriously.
  2. Dude, I see you blasting your pics all over Facebook all the time.. But you can't figure out how to get them on here? Nonsense. Quit being lazy.
  3. Wrong. Facebook, which is the commonly used form of promotion over a broad audience these days shows otherwise. I don't see ANY other racer/rider/person doing anything near what Brett does. He promotes EVERYONE, even his own competitors. History is simply that. Was, used to be, has been... In the PAST. Just for fun last night, I went to Skip's website.. The last post in the Shoutbox was this: Hmm....hate to see this new site with no action. At least there was something going on with the old one. Just don't see the point of not bringing the old info forward to the new site. Maybe I missed it somewhere! Look familiar? It should.. You posted it November 23, 2012... This right here proves to me that certain people THINK they're doing stuff, when they're not, Skip included. I've never heard of him. I've never seen a post on Facebook by him. Nothing, nowhere. I'm not saying he's a bad guy, but there are people who think they're getting the word out when they're not. Fact. Another fact is that you'd rather sit here and argue with me about who's doing what than just contribute in any way you can. There are doers and there are talkers. You're either one or the other.
  4. Currently safety rules are nonexistent. No big sponsor will back a race series run the current way. These guys need to get with the program if they want to bring it to the next level.
  5. This is the drag racing world's biggest issue at this point in time. I know there are companies out there that would like to be involved but most won't put their name on something that allows people to get on 200HP machines with tennis shoes and a cut off and run it down a track at 100mph. That's kind of what we're hoping will happen. I know that it pisses people off when I say this, but I stand by my earlier statement in that no one promotes ATV drag racing like Brett does. He pushes the tracks, promoters, his sponsors and is continually looking to bring a positive image to the sport. His idea is that with his new home page with up to date drag racing news and the forums that it will generate more interest and show people there are some who will do what they can to promote and get people the recognition they deserve.
  6. You should join my new site.. It's located at - http://www.atvdragracerhq.com/ Maybe you can help get the drag racing game back on track!
  7. My purchase of what site? The one I just built? What are you talking about? Censorship? Where? What is censored? I have NO idea who you are or what you're talking about, Skip.
  8. Pulled these off the old setup. They're in excellent shape. Internals are a year old. No pads. No parking brake block off. $100 shipped
  9. This project is destined to fail. Have you called a builder yet?
  10. 18DM belongs in billet cases. End of story.
  11. I don't disagree with you on the too many forums thing.. I feel that my forums will be the longest lasting of them all. I doubt some of these others last 2-3 more years due to no one paying to advertise on them. Most are owned by forum companies that don't care about them other than from a revenue stand point. What I hope is that the strictly drag racing guys will use it to their advantage. They will have a stable forum platform that will always be upgraded as time goes on. For the tight knit drag racing community, I am guessing that not having to sift through the trail riding or dune riding stuff would appeal to them.
  12. I like the clear ones but I've cracked them before. I thought I'd do something this time.
  13. It comes supplied with full stainless hardware.
  14. It'll serve the same purpose as the others. It is beefed up by the kick start area which is good for the big motors. Personally, I think it looks bad ass.
  15. I'll be monitoring as well as Brett. I believe the serious drag racers are a different crowd. You're not likely to see the boost bottle type questions there. I think it'll pretty much run itself.
  16. Yes, you can just plug them.
  17. Use a tape measure. The top one is bigger.
  18. You gotta suck start it. You should have that covered.
  19. There are two sets of showers at LS. One is right next to the entrance to the dunes. They're pretty shitty with just a curtain to pull across the opening. The other is about 300' away. That one is a lot better. It has individual shower rooms with doors that lock. I've used both and I've never had an issue with either. They have warm water and it seems to cleanse me just fine. Wear sandals.
  20. So you're volunteering to give Windy his sponge bath?
  21. FFS. I wear sandals in the shower. I've never contacted anything serious from the showers (that I know of). You will be fine.
  22. Everything shipped. Leave me alone.
  23. Just wear sandals in the shower and you're good.
