  1. Really... ...good to know. Last time I checked mine shee was cold & I had 150lbs on each cyl...I let each side hold the 150lbs each for 3 min....figured shee's good to go.
  2. Don't you just hate it when that happens!
  3. I'd like to try some LRD's...maybe someday. But for now my PC's do me just fine & bettter than my T5's did. Asking opinions on pipes is like opinions on religion--everyone's got their own & there are pro's & con's amongst them all.
  4. I have a stock grab bar, -2 arm, ProC silencers...and don't have that problem. Guess I've not noticed how farther the PC2's stick out...
  5. I'm pretty much having the same problem as papa_smut still, but can't figure it out....she backfires & spits at only, and only WOT.? I've tried everything but coil & cdi...and stator, but mine too is farily new & there's no water or anything in or around the flywheel cover. The pickup coil looks fine & I've tried adjusting it in & out w/no avail. I've got a post somewhere about 'cracked reeds' that has all the crap I've tried...and it's not cracked reeds I know that now. I know it's gotta be electrical...just gotta get some time to mess with it & start swapp'n parts with my '99.
  6. I use a ziplock baggie w/electrical tape around it. Haven't had any problems. I know in Rocky Mtn.'s catalog they have those spark plug holder boot thingamajiggies....
  7. If you haven't already...get yourself a manual. Set your shocks to the stock specs specified in the manual to start...then try playing around with the settings until you find the sweet spot that suits you. That's what I did before I had aftermarket suspension,...it helped out a lot.
  8. Haha,...I was bored earlier & was snoop'n Exriders....even they're talking about how the yfz is better...of course they've got those damn hondaholics who think that anything honda is lined with gold & swear up & down on their ex's over everything else out there. On paper & so far any reviews I've read...the yfz's the shit, hands down.
  9. I usually run 91 cause that's pretty much all we can get. I used to run 92 oct, but the station closed....I've never had any issues. If you up your compression a lot you'll need to run the higher octane, but if you're still stock you'll be fine with 91. I've got my head milled .030 & have 150lbs compression & still run 91 w/out any problems. Hope this helps...
  10. Pimp ride ya got there 350! Nice vids to BTW...
  11. Damn kewl...looks like ya like to get a little squirely too! hehe Right on man. That jeeps fuckin' bad ass! Never seen a jeep move like that before, unbelievable.
  12. Couldn't tell ya,...haven't heard of them myself. I looked online & couldn't find anything out either. I still dig the 'toe' though.
  13. Couldn't agree with you more! ...just kidding. I wouldn't have a set of DG's unless they were given to me & all I had was stock,...still I may reconsider. hehe
  14. Talk about Holy Shit!
  15. Blue...I had just cleaned the filter & lightly oiled it. I started it in the garage w/the toomey 2:1 off & shee still did the same thing. That was one of the 1st things I tried. I know 100% that the jets aren't clogged & the carbs are clean...have had them off 4 times now to quadruple check. I dunno....it's gotta be electrical, I think.
  16. Hey man....I don't know where to get them...but I know a guy who bought a 440 shee that was setup for flat-track racing that doesn't have a rear break. There's some sort of distributor hooked up to the hand brake,...so when he hits the break it applies both breaks & he can adjust whether he wants more front break or more rear, or equal them out. It's pretty sweet, I'd love to get one...I bet it really helps when your doing any type of racing. Would be a little weird at 1st, but when I rode his banshee it was sweet, and would stop on a dime. Anyone else here seen a bike with that type of setup? Know where to get them?
  17. Good read...wonder if they guy will finish it as he says!? hehe
  18. That's what I thought...but I dunno....I watched it frame by frame & you can see the bike through the window & the van jolt upon impact....dunno.
  19. Looks like a damn nice ride! Someone will be happy.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...7&category=6725
  20. I can't say that I don't....cause I do drink & ride at the dunes...but not without boots, chest protector, helmet, riding gloves, & friends in case someone fucks up. Definately not the smartest idea,...but we try to still stay safe & ride within our limits,...which are limitted after a couple cases.
  21. I'd go with some V-Force reeds & see about milling your head....may be able to do both with your 250... I'm more than happy with my milled head,...unless you're wanting to be able to change out domes & for looks, I'd just mill the head & save you some money. I've heard great things about Noss heads,...would probably get one of them over a coolhead myself. + they're a bit purtier.
  22. Dunno if this is bs or not....either way the dude's got shit for brains!hehe Very interesting way of loading up your bike.... http://vlx.roeiboot.com/funny/loading_a_bike.mpeg
  23. Man,...seriously....save yourself 100 & get some King's Paddle Tires--8 paddle 'turbo paddle'. I picked some up at LS for $168,...the extremes were $268. They're built a lot better(paddles are molded along with the tire & not glued on like the skats) Also they wear good, look great, and hook up awesome. I still have some 9 paddle haulers for my other shee, they're good & have lasted....but for the money, I'd highly recommend those turbo paddles....here's a comparrison shot between the 8paddle turbos(on my black shee) and the 9paddle haulers(on the yellow shee) Let me know when you're coming down to LS,...I'll see if I can make it.
  24. When you remove the stock clutch perch there are 2 wires that come out of it & go down into the plastic with all the other lines,...if you follow those wires, on the left side of your tank you will see a connector that needs to be disconnected. If you have a clymers, look in there & you'll see what I'm talking about. If you don't have the bible yet, get one... A guy who was at the dunes last weekend was having your problem, and he just replaced his stock perch & removed the brake. After watching him dick with it for over an hour I went over & asked him what was going on...he told me....I disconnected that plug & shee was back to normal! He was happy & I got a free 6er out of the deal. He had just clipped the wires & taped them together,...it worked before he loaded it up & went to the sand,...but disconnecting that plug was all he needed to do. Wish my problem was that easy...hehe
  25. When you took off your stock perch, did you clip the wires or did you disconnect the connector on the left side of the tank?
