  1. Gives me a chubby just think'n about it!
  2. Sounds like fun! Good luck! Get some pictures!
  3. http://www.rockymountainatv.com
  4. My g/f's little brother just got some of those 20" sand stars. They look slick & seem to hook up great. He likes them a lot anyway. I wouldn't mind trying some sometime just for shits. He paid $205 also.
  5. Well, the 1st stator(stock) that I had go bad just quit out of the blue---was riding off & on all day, after one ride I shut her down like normal, went to start it about 30min later & nothing---didn't start again until a new stator & 2 kicks later. Now I can't figure out what my problem is & hope it's the stator cause I don't know what else it could be....so I'm getting one. Shee starts & runs just fine, until WOT shee'll start to spit, cough, & sputter. Other than that shee's fine, just craps out at WOT. I've double checke jetting, the carbs, everything I can & still no luck. Have even tried moving the pickup coil on the stator closer & farther away from the flywheel & still have the same problems. So I'm going to try another stator, but probably not another $300 OEM one though. Pm'd ya.
  6. No problem, if you like all around dune'n & not strictly drag they're awesome; but work fine for the occasional dragger too. It's just too bad they don't yet have more options--# of paddles & sizes like skat trak. I'm more than satisfied with mine, I let my buddy run them on his EX & he's getting rid of his geckos for some now.
  7. Cool...not a bad idea.
  8. Will do...gunna give her the 'ol pep talk tonight!
  9. Yeah....I know I've seen it on here before. And if I remember right it was from a frequent poster....but for the life of me I can't think of the username.
  10. Thanks guys...I was bored & though "what the hell..." Actually I used no compression. That's probably why the middle pic is kinda blury, but I didn't feel like dick'n with it. Looks good enough for the girls I go with!
  11. My thought exactly. Where exactly are you mounting it behind the tank?
  12. I jumped up to 150 from 120 before milling it .030 Have you ever changed out the top-end or rings? What's your mods?
  13. Yepper. Learn how to work the clutch & get a feel for it the way it is & I bet you'll be happy. I can get power to the ground whenever I need it. And for $2500,...you could get you some new a-arms with badass shocks, and shorten your rear swinger and get a new rear shock. Then shee'll handle much better.
  14. Pretty slick. I'd like to get a badass mtn bike w/suspension like that someday. I kinda miss bike'n. I use to be hardcore into freestyle BMX...many ouches & broken bones later I realized I better stop while I was still in one piece.
  15. Mmmmmm Beeeeer.... Haha! No, you have to upload the pic to the web, then put the web link to that pic in the box that comes up when you click the 'IMG' button. You can host pics for free at http://www.imagestation.com and link them from there.
  16. Damn, very nice. I'd love to get a crotch rocket & that would be the bike of my choice...well the gsxr750 anyway...don't know that I'd spend what you're needing out of it though. But in all actuality; I'd probably kill myself on in about 5.2 seconds.
  17. Right on! Hell, that's a better deal than what I got. Or that's probably the same...but without taxes added on. You won't be disapointed if you decide to go with them.
  18. Haven't ever heard of that happening. Mine have held up great so far.
  19. The little choke tube connecting the carbs...if it was to come off would/could it cause this. I dunno...all my thoughts have already been posted or eliminated.
  20. We always remember, but forget to take pics or just don't get around to it.
  21. Well I like it anyway. When I converted the pics to gifs it pixelated them a bit,...banshee looks ok, but the sand looks like crap. Owell....anyone else bored out of their minds?
  22. Do yourself a big favor, get yourself a clymers manual. With a stock shee you'll have to loosen the bolts securing the bearing carrier, adjust the little adjuster bolts on the back of the carrier, tighten them up EQUALLY on each side and this will pull the carrier back; thus tightening the chain. Give youself about a 1 1/2 inches of play & you should be alright. But like I said,...get yourself a clymer manual and it will walk you through step by step. One of the best $30 I ever spent. You may even find you an online manual,...I think I remember seeing one linked off a post one time--you may search for it. Hope this helps.
  23. Glad to see we got our priorities srait here on the HQ...this post is already pinned. So what's a feller & his lady get for winning such a contest? Perhaps I can do some bargaining here.... Here's the closest I got yet(old pic)...but at least a pic to go on here for now, hands down to minkia.
  24. I've had my '97 since '98. I had a '99 also for a while--took all the 'goodies' for my shee & rebuilt it for the g/f. A couple weeks ago I traded it for an '01 400EX for her & that's what I got right now. Got my choice: thrill or thump. The pics of her old '99 are still on my site...haven't gotten around to updating it recently.
  25. I may be going that weekend, but from talking with my bro-in-law last night it sounds like we may now be going around the 20th. So I dunno. I've frozen my ass off down there many of times; it ain't so bad...just keep ride'n or drink'n and you'll forget about how cold it really is.
