  1. Yes...the bansheehq is a wonderful thing. Aiding addictions for years now...even chicks dig it. See:
  2. Nice bike! Good luck in selling.
  3. Ah hell...you're never too old. Welcome to the HQ, guaranteed to be one of your best resources for useful banshee info and help whenever you need it.
  4. LOL. No shit! Ever tried to fart in the wind & smell it?
  5. When you adjust it...you want to have the arrow on the arm where the cable connects on top of the motor pointing at the arrow on the case itself, with about 1/8", maybe hair over that play so you don't weld the clutch ball & rod.
  6. Not with your aftermarket barnett clutch, I wouldn't anyway. I run the same clutch with 80w BelRay Gear Saver On stock cork clutch, you'd be alright.
  7. LOL...sometimes a little too much I guess.
  8. Love mine & primarily dune. It's not like you can't do anything but wheelie, wheelies are definately easier to do, but it's nothing uncontrolable at all, I have no complaints. The only time I really have problems is when dragging, high RPM 2nd gear starts can get a little hairy...but I don't have my bike setup to drag, I like riding in general. On the dirt, it's night/day.
  9. Sounds to me like your shift fork is bound up. Tip it up on its side & pull the clutch cover off, you'll probably(hopefully) find that the shift forks popped out & is bound up on the shift star. Kind of hard to explain, but if you look you'll see what I'm talking about. If so, take a screwdriver & get the forks back into place on the shift star. For a temp. fix to get you through the weekend, after you get everything un-bound, take your shifter off & throw a rubber washer on the shaft, followed by another one or two and put the shifter back on. This will help to hold the shaft over in hopes that the forks don't pop out again.
  10. That ain't right. He can't do the Schivo like ol Johnny did though.
  11. Definately not the same bike, whole different animal...but from what I've seen & heard the KLR's are good bike for dual sport use, I've ridden one on the street & it rode nice and had some decent power. If I were to get a 650 though, it'd be the honda.
  12. I agree...I'd start at 300 & work your way down until you get it dialed in.
  13. My bro in law just bought a 97 alba that has some bent arms & is looking for new, pm me your price & contact info if you would.
  14. How much for the stock arms? Pics? location?
  15. Shitty, PQ has to be at the 81 before the CV races even start for the NFTRA race, they start at 7:30.
  16. Depends on quantity, quality, & who your friends are.
  17. Have a good one, go get SICK!
  18. I got the same question for him, let me know what you find out please! Dunno about you, but I'm probably just going .020; gotta tear into mine & find out, might not have to bore, but I dunno. But yeah, let me know what you find out, just for an idea of what I'm going to be looking at.
  19. Well shit... You weren't with the group of guys that my buddy flopped his wiener out on were ya? I wasn't there, but I heard it was rather comical.
  20. That's probably the best solution, you can even get a helicoil kit at most part stores. Not much too them, guys in our buggy group use them on VW sparkplug holes quite often.
  21. I feel your pain bro...didn't get shit for riding in, did get about an hour in late friday night, but I think my top-end may have went bye-bye; haven't gotten a chance to tear into it yet to find out. Cleaned my carbs & they were fine, didn't really do much more since I had the buggy there and haven't gotten to drive it much lately. Mines' doing similar to what you're describing, but I have no exhaust on the left side, dunno if there's spark or not, could be the coil...dunno yet. Owell, if it's the top end it's time for a better port job & new pistons, the stock 97's gotta be getting tired anyway. You may try swapping the stator, knowing that you got on it & kicked the shit out of it and suddenly had spark...makes me want to say there's a lose connection somewhere. GD I hate troublshooting electrical issues.
