How long you going to be there? What type of biz shizz? Can ya land me a job? Hell I was up there tonight, if I'd have gotten on here earlier and saw this post I woulda had you go & have dinner with me & the budda-belly. Anyhoo, there's a nice big stealership on N. west street...Mid American Powersports. There's a couple sports parks, old-town party'n is always fun. The new hooters on N. Rock Road is always a good place for dinner or just to chill & have some beers. If you like movies, check out the Warren Theater in old town, just off 2nd street to the north, has a nice sports bar with a HUGE screen & if you're in to movies, you can drink & have drinks and grub served during the show. I'm frigg'n broke or I'd say we go & party it up. If you do hit a titty bar, hit up Micheal's Beach house on K-15 in Derby, just south about 10min...only one worth going to if you ask me.

Amen brother man! I can see some jagerbombs being consumed already. I'm ready!

LMFAO Yeah well... Nobody's perfect. Good thing I'm a Nobody.

I call bullshit. Won't let me in...seems to be acting like a female too!

You may check the connecting prongs in the connector. After I'd rebuilt mine, when I reconnected the stator connector, one of the little prongs got pushed over & didn't go into the slot it was supposed to, looked fine, but it wasn't. While in the process of disconnecting the stator to trash it, I noticed that prong in the male end was bent over a bit, straitened it & put it back on there...whala. Perhaps he'll be lucky too & it'll be that easy.

Just fire it up & spray some carb cleaner around your intakes & see if shee revs, if so, shee's suck'n air. It may very well be the coil, I had a buddy pull one out on accident one time & it wouldn't run for shit, idle or anything hardly until he got it replaced. See what ya find with the ohm meter & compression tester though...keep us posted.

What mods do you have on your banshee? What drag terrain are you talking also? I'm not a dragger myself...but those best to answer your question will need to know at least your mods.

Is world war III starting? what do u think
ledofthezep replied to sweetshee4312's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I don't think we'll ever know when WWIII is here, my bet is damn near everything in existance will be fubar, very rapidly at that. -
Me too...I just don't like them dicking with me and I like my KS beer!(shhhh) Last HQ ride, they threatened me with a public intox ticket in the campground...basically made me go to my tent because I was being myself, wasn't disturbing anyone or doing anything other than having a good time, nothing to justify their actions. But I did give them an earful. Owell, I'm not worried about that shit anyway, I go to have fun either way.

Other than the coil, you may get an OHM meter & check the stator out. Clymers and/or search on here for the numbers... You have checked for air leaks haven't ya?

Really depends on what you look for in the buggy & how much you're willing to spend. Right now, the long-travel, 4seater setups seem to be hot, as well as the prices. A good friend of mine builds, sells & upgrades rails, see: http://www.johnsonsbuggies.com for more info there. I'm still pimp'n the older style VW powered rail, it's an 1835cc stroked & modded to a 1968cc stroker, got probably around 3g's into the motor itself. Total, we probably got maybe 8k invested in our rail, it's nothing special, but it's a blast to drive & really isn't shit to maintain & fix if it breaks. I'm running a low-geared VW bus transaxle for the lower gearing & strength, there's also mid-range & 091 high geared transaxles...but there getting to be few & far between, of course you can always spend 1k+ on a build up one for what you're looking for.. Our rail is mainly built to wheelie & trail ride, not really much for jumping, hell I don't even run shocks on the front! As far as street legalling a rail...check with your DMV or state's website for info on what all you'd need to do, most likely just the norm...lights, turnsignals, mirrors, horn, etc. If I had the money, I'd have someone, probably Johnson since he's a good friend, build a custom long-travel 2 seater rail in the 20-25k range, with a shortstar V6 caddy motor, with badass suspension, that'd be great for wheelies & jumping both. You can checkout my old site to checkout some of the rails in my immediate family...some other sites you can check out: http://www.dunebuggy.com or just do a google search for dunebuggy or sandrail or sandcar, etc...

I personally would rather camp in the North camp in the cowboy campground, primarily because there's less traffic through there & the park narcs don't seem to be as pesty there...last three times I've camped in the south camp they've came & checked ID's, been assholes, etc. (fuck'm if they can't take a joke) Plus if you have a big ass trailer, the pull through camping stalls are nice. It throws you out on the big dunes & not on the strip. Either way, it's going to be a good time, bansheeHQ style.

LOL...yes'r i du And you ride a Honda...

Make it idiot proof and someone will make a better idiot.

Hell yeah bro! At least there's some fun to be had over there I guess... Stay safe! Hope to meet up with ya in Sept...I'll have a cold one for ya.

Sounds like fun! I fish all the time, mostly bass, crappie, & channel cats 'round here...got a pond within walking distance of my place, great place to sit, drink & think. I do make it to Colorado for some trout fishing each year too, it's a blast.

Air filter clean?

How often do you guys rebuild your engine?
ledofthezep replied to stuntmasta3o5's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Couldn't agree more. Just take care of it & ride the shit out of it! Still on my stock '97 topend, my shee's modded, but is also maintained better than anything else I own. -
Damn...sucks for your bud; bet it got rather drunk out for him throughout the weekend! Wonder wtf caused that, contacted vitos yet to ask them? Oh yeah...now ya got a reason to get you an a-arm conversion kit on there!
-
Never heard anything bad about klotz myself, nor anything similar to what you're seeing/hearing...very interesting. I'll just stick with my 927...
-
LMFAO ...speaking of smokers!
-
Dunno if I'll brink the rail or not, depends on if I can get someone else in my fam to bring their rail down to drag my ass back in, in case of a break down. Has made 3 no-wrench trips so far this year, only 1 with me...survived the wrath of my mom, so it oughta hold up, but ya never know. That's what she said... Don't have a smoker myself... I can light a good fart though!
-
Chalk me up on the list! Unless I for some reason get a new job that I can't get away from, I'M THERE!
-
LOL...I didn't claim I couldn't start it, just gave up! haha I swear you flipped the switch on me that night... Glad to hear ya got it figured out!
