  1. I just got finished with putting my top end together and realized that I didn't put in the bottom cylinder seals pictured. How important are they? I have base gaskets on there that should stop any coolant from flowing in unwanted places. If you guys say so though, I'll pull it apart and put it back together. Part number 6 in the schematic below. Thanks! Part number 6 in this schematic:
  2. Did you see these? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F292474695312 Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  3. Did you mess with any of the air/fuel screws or maybe they got accidently bumped out of place? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  4. These come with the carbs, throttle cable (it needs to be replaced), caps, floats, needle's, basically everything but the main jets. Located in Buena Park, California. I prefer pickup but I will mail them after payment has cleared if you aren't local. Asking $300 obo Text me for pictures (951) 662-6847
  5. Hey BHQ, I just realized that this motor that I am building for my 2000 has the motorcycle engine number ground off! I don't really want to deal with the potential headache that can lead to here in California (impound the bike, seize the bike etc.) I bought it like that, but I would much prefer a case with a number on it. Prefer a perfect case. Let me know what you have and what you are asking. Zip is 90621
  6. Hey OP where are the pictures? Lol. From what I've read hanging out here you don't want to get just the bottom half. Banshee cases are matched, you want to get a set that go together or else you could run into problems (air leaks). So it sounds like you need a whole motor. I'd buy a FUBAR Banshee that ran when it got put away and just go that route. New everything can get expensive quick, as I have found out in my 2 builds. Good luck! 7. So I just need the 795 pistons? My stock replacement pistons stick out 5mm so that makes sense. And no spacer needed, is that correct?
  8. The engine is currently put together, and I don't remember any numbers on the rod itself, although I remember two words like long rod or something like that on the rod. If its really necessary I can split the cases and I will pull the cylinders off and report back, if I can avoid splitting the cases I want to.
  9. Hey everyone! It has been a while, starting a company is a lot of work. I am back and need your expertise. Back in December I posted a thread called "How Do I Fix This?" Basically I accidentally got a stroker rod and my pistons are sticking out of the cylinder 5mm at top dead center. So a user told me to get Wiseco 795 series pistons and that will solve this problem. My next question is; do I need a spacer for this build? I read around a bit and I am getting mixed reviews. I really appreciate you guys and all of your help! I reply fast, so if you have any questions, ask away!
  10. What the fuck did I just read? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  11. You mentioned Niche. Is that a good brand of cylinders? Based on the info that you gave me, I am not wanting to run these cylinders now.
  12. Would it be a good idea to clean them up and polish them a bit with a Dremel? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  13. They're new. Pretty sure they're Chinese as those cylinders and pistons came in a box together. And the pistons are cast. I didn't buy them, the guy I bought them gave them to me with the bikes when I bought them. Probably best to not use these pistons anyways. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  14. So I just measured and at TDC the piston is sticking out 5mm. What is the fix for this?
  15. The piston is sticking 5mm out of the cylinder at TDC.
  16. Could you tell me what and how to measure the crank?
  17. I do not. I didn't even think this would be an issue. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  18. So I'm pretty sure this crank that I got for this motor is a stroker crank and that's the issue here. I'm trying to do an all stock setup. I need to know how to fix this ASAP. I have a trip coming up and I *really* don't want to tear this engine back down. Is there anything I can do? Of course if I have to I will tear then engine down and replace the crank. This crank is welded. If it comes down to it, anyone game to trade for a stock crank? Thanks guys! Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  19. Hey dude. So I ended up buying everything I needed except for the filters. I'm going to be selling these still though. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  20. Also make sure you're using a compression tool designed for motorcycles. Kevin from South Texas Banshee sells some on eBay I think they're like $50. But the automotive ones are not accurate for motorcycles. The hose is usually too long. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  21. Is it even even wanting to fire? Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  22. Also 90 PSI is a bit low compression. Stock Banshees are usually around 120 PSI. Might be time for a top end. Sent from my Pixel XL using Tapatalk
  23. So you checked it has spark, the carbs are clean so it's probably getting air. Last thing is fuel. If everything else is okay make sure fuel is getting delivered. Make sure a line isn't blocked or pinched shut. Make sure your gas valve isn't all gunked up, take it out and clean/inspect it. You can also pop the fuel line off a carb, turn the gas on and see if anything is coming out. You may want to clean your tank and lines if some nasty fuel was sitting in there.
