  1. is there a preferred side that works best for the exhaust to exit from left right or both. just curious if one has more of an advantage over the others or is it personal preference
  2. either 10mil 535 or 10mil 611dm still debating on which way to go.. I had a 10mil 535 and was very pleased with it. I already have the crank in 10mil just need cases trenched, haven't sent them out yet because I need to make up my mind on cheetah or dm but after seeing what else is out there running not sure that's going to be enough power for the bikes in my area I will mainly be street racing in my area and some at 1/8th mile asphalt track. most of the bikes around here are about appearance and less on power with the exception of a couple guys but mostly looks . im the opposite I will spend on power first then look into the shiny parts. 4 months out is not too bad as long as the builder does what he says, theres always next season if you don't get a full one in this year, and start saving to build second motor for back up or at least back up cylinders got couple more guys getting me prices on both ways and as soon as I get all my quotes in I will make my decision. now I know I need to quit stalling and get my order in cause everyday I wait is a day longer before it gets done..
  3. I'm interested in pipes. Send pics to 2567627959

  5. I would have to agree if s shop is that far out on work. Then that does say a couple things. Could be good could be bad. Either way I definitely don't want a rush job. Patrickb2 I'm in nw ala you got a leed on something interesting.
  6. What's the deal. Already called 3 performance shops and they are 5-7 months behind on port work. Are there Shortage in cylinders or just not enough guys porting these days. Guess I should have started earlier. Found couple used big bore motors. But I'm just Leary of putting that much money in a used motor that you have know idea how much life is still in it. Which I know even a new motor subject to blow at anytime. But used doubled the chances. I can assemble and tune all day with the best of them but I don't have the correct tooling and proper knowledge to do my own port work. And I damn sure not going to ruin a 2-3k cylinder trying. Season may be over before it even starts.
  7. thanks, I just tried and no answer, I will keep trying or maybe he will return my call
  8. anyone know how I can get in touch with the builder of the quick16 frame. I'm wanting a set of spindles with caliper mounts. if I cant find these I will look into making mine work. but would rather buy a set..
  9. how is chuck doing I haven't talked to him in years. I got one of his first lockups back in 04. I showed up at a local track near him in Byhalia MS for a 1k$$ shootout. track was short 60' no one told some of us, I ended up in the sand trap and busted an override trans all to hell..and their excuse was no one expected a 5 second banshee to show up but to late then... but that's when I meet chuck and later I ended up testing one of his lock ups and it was amazingly tuneable I been reading your post and its been spot on from what I learned from chuck, like you said countless phone calls on different set ups tips and tricks ... even track temps have played a role in what clutch set up we would use good rite up guys... listen to these guys its great advice
  10. oops my bad that was you I just made offer on
  11. I just made an offer on a set, but whats the price of yours shipped to n w al
  12. I will call redline and couple more and see what a 24dm is going to set me back then. That's definitely above my goal and mite be above my budget. We will see.
  13. it will be put on asphalt, back in 2004 I put together a 10mil 535cc.. cheetah cylinder is what they were called when they first came out and it ran 5:90's with 225lb rider on race gas and nitrous.. but now I been out of the game almost 10 years and all these new applications gives a broad range to choose from. so now I'm trying to eliminate some of the guess work. my goal is between 125-150hp on race gas, and add a little nitrous. but it seems as most are running alky which I'm not familiar with so I have been reading up on it and talking with different tuners that have the experience. I'm getting ready to drop the cash on an engine that will to the job. looking to run mid to low 5's in 1/8th mile asphalt... I have talked with one builder offering a 10mil 611dm motor that he claims will hit those numbers at a cost of 9k. this was the first call and I'm still researching options. that's the purpose of this thread is to get input on what its going to take to achieve this. I picked up a quick "16" chassis I believe is what its called built by black label racing. bare frame weighs in at 42lbs and measures in at 83"
  14. I have 2 raptor 660's with a few parts left couple a arms, steering stem, chrome tie rods stock length, dura blue chrome axle, couple shocks wiring harness, I set of cases with transmission, brake calipers front and rear, stock oem wheels, then I have a few pieces of a 700 raptor left over steering stem couple a arms hubs calipers wiring harness got several others such as 400ex z400 bayou 220 and 300 got a Suzuki 500 vinson let me know what you looking for and I will see if I have it
  15. Ok I hope most of the top rider/builders will chime in on this. My question is what crank and cc's/cylinder combination will it take to achieve 125-150 horse power on race gas. I'm thinking 10m 535cc cheetah may make it on lower side of 125hp. Any thoughts???????
  16. I thought that name sounded like I remembered it. he ported my 535 motor 10 years ago. he does top notch work. my bike was on the main page of their old website for couple years 04-07 or so. I will definitely call him up thanks for the contact that's a good hit...
  17. where he from there's a bunch by that name on facebook
  18. I'm looking for a set of cases they can have chain damage as long as they don't leak. would like to find some already trenched for 10mil or 14mil looking for spindle mount wheels 10x2 with brake rotor mounts not in big hurry for pipes at the moment but if the right price and right set comes up for sale I would be interested must be for big bore motor 535cc and larger no preference on which side they exit same or both is fine looking for 1/4 turn twist throttle with micro switch is possible will consider without too for rite price a 30"x40mm drag axle, I have one now but spines are showing its age and wont last much longer. but for good price I'm ready to replace it. may just buy new after engine is done which is my main priority rite now.
  19. I'm trying to separate the joint in my steering stem and not having any luck. I see where there is an Allen head screw with a tack weld on opposite side. I ground off the weld but it doesn't want to give it up. Just making sure that's where and how it separates before I go messing it up. Any suggestions would help. Wanting to have it chromed. 20. Will do. Thanks for tip Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I have a set of t6's if interested
  22. I have tried calling them but no answer, so I sent an email. I have a set of douglas 10x2 wheels, I'm curious if the center part of the hub is the correct size to mount stock banshee rotors to it and then fit the calipers to the steering knuckle
  23. I'm having trouble finding spindle mount wheels that have rotor mounts so I can still run front brakes. have considered running without but prefer to have them on asphalt. I have a set of solid douglas wheels now but no rotor mounts. I have looked at the sponsers web pages well the ones that have one anyway. what ever happened to wicked atv I bought a set from them years ago when I first got into banshees or if someone has a used set I would be interested in them. I'm looking for double beadlocked 10x10 rears also are there not many on asphalt anymore looks as if its all dirt and sand...
  24. It's perfectly fine to give an opinion when it's asked for. I can respect that when asked for I simply posted a for sale ad in the correct place just like the mods asked it to be done. If that's what you sell for that's good for you. That's got nothing to do with me and my sell. You and couple more chimed in on non relevant issues to my sale other than giving your opinion on what you think I should sell for. But I didn't ask your opinion. I prefer straight up opinions when they are asked for. I didn't ask for your opinion or anyone else's. And as far as n2o comments go then say it like you got a pair instead of the abbreviations.
  25. But it doesn't make sense. I stated what i invested and what I was asking I know I won't get what I got in it back. I didn't consider it an investment. Investment means you plan to make profit on it. I built it cause I wanted to. I knew ahead of time I would loose money. I built it to ride it. My employment has changed so my time is limited. And now I have a new interest for something else. I have read a lot of discussion on here and this person and several others only have negative comments. If that's the way this board is going to be I will opt out. Life to short for that. And people wonder why they don't socialize more it's because of so much negativity Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
