  1. That answers my questions. Thanks guys
  2. I thought about it, but don't like that look. My local Powdercoat shop does the ceramic coating in a bright shiny silver. Looks great.
  3. I have a set of PC pipes that are pretty rough down by the cylinders. I was thinking of getting them ceramic coated, but some people say it will mess with the heat containment, resonance, and overall performance. Is this true? Polishing is not worth my time, as it takes hours upon hours.
  4. TM Designworks is a very reputable company that makes good rollers and sliders, and UPP is also a great company, I would take their word on the swingarm guard. Good luck.
  5. Thanks, I'm lucky, my Uncle/Teacher said I don't have to pay for anything, since we have so much aluminum sitting around.
  6. Just here for the comments, I'm putting mine together soon and this is the last thing I want happening.
  7. Do you know what kind of aluminum would be best?
  8. This is what I was thinking....
  9. Where can I get these A-Arms?
  10. Alright, so I have some old fox coil over shocks that were long overdue for some new bushings. The old ones are Poly bushings with the steel sleeve that the bolt slides through. I was talking to my uncle that runs our schools Fabrication and Autos program, he's very knowledgable on this kinda stuff. He says don't buy new ones, we can make some aluminum ones here on our lathes and mills. How would that hold up? Replacing the poly bushing (as pictured) with aluminum seems sketchy. Any thoughts?
  11. I used Brake Cleaner, a toothbrush, and some Mothers polish.
  12. Pro Circuit Type 296's pass, I like the sound too.
  13. Yeah, that's what they did. I got the two carbs, 2 sizes bigger and smaller for main and pilot jets, and a throttle cable for $325. Pretty good deal IMO.
  14. I wanna know too. I love my PC's and how quick they come on. Would love to try some SLP's
  15. Yeah, he was a little weird on his info. He was trying to make it sounds like an even better deal by adding a different slide (3.5) that would cost around $70 if I had bought it. But if I remember correctly 3.5 slides in 28mm PWK's is stock. Idk. I got a good deal on them and was wondering just how much I gotta mess with them.
  16. Has anyone on here bought PWK's from carbpartswarehouse? They say that they jet the carbs according to your mods, for a good starting point. If anyone has bought from them, how accurate or how good of a starting point is it?
  17. Sweet, might have to pick one up.
  18. So no one has had any real problems with these chinese radiators? $45 seems too good to be true.
  19. Sorry for the noob questions, but i'm weary about installing an adjustable timing plate. People say that with the advanced timing and higher compression, there will be more stress put on my crank and other components. Is this true? Is advancing the timing worth it? Just looking for other opinions, thanks.
  20. I'm not too worried about my crank separating, I don't ride that often and like what was said before, I'm going 4 mill crank with maybe some Driveline cylinders. Thanks for the advice though....This all started by me just wanting to get new carbs...Do I need help
  21. Thanks guys, and the engine hasn't had one catastrophic failure. Pistons were replaced more often then other people would replace them, crank bearings are sound and have no up and down play. And also, guns4children is right lol, i'm going 4 mill next season. Maybe even 421 driveline assassins.
  22. This will be my first top end/build iv'e done. The parts I got new are 21cc domes in a Chariot head, 28mm PWK, port job (getting done) by Alan Cain, Chariot intake, Chariot cages, Pro Circuit pipes, 65mm Wisecos, K&N pods, and a honda throttle. I will start building and tuning soon, and was wanting some more pointers. I am doing a leakdown test, squish band test, and compression test, is there any other precautions I should take? Lane at Driveline bored and honed my cylinders, and measured ring end gap and cylinder wall clearance. I have a good amount of money into this and can't have it fail
