  1. Okay i see what you are saying. I feel like if i were going to weld the flange nuts in the step drill bit would be a good idea to open hole up with. But this winter I would like to just put new ones in the right way like tyler did
  2. thanks Ty how would you drill out the old ones using a step? dont you have to cut them out around the perimeter where the weld is?
  3. I already know about the sticky. I got about a month left of riding season before I wrap things up, so I need only a temporary fix. Left rear is stripped. I really only care because its the bolt that holds my chain tensioner on. Im pretty sure I can drill and tap it up a size, but my question is, should I just cut the old ones out and weld those jds inserts in? Or ive read on here of people drilling the hole out a bit and welding a flange nut in there. If i go that route do you think I can aluminum braze it with a torch?
  4. buyers remorse goes away the more you spend. if i added up the amount of money ive spent the last 2 years. I could have prolly bought a very nice new car.
  5. Go through all the little stuff and make sure everything is connected. basics first. I recently had a real idiot moment. my bike started breaking under power up top in the rpms as if the fly wheel or stator was going bad. I was 2 hrs from home with no parts to swap out. Thought it was jetting maybe, did slight adjustments just to rule out jetting, I was right it was electrical. Then I lost spark completely. Come to find out, it was one of the wires from the wire harness came un clipped from one of the primary leads on the coil, piece of rubber was still over it though, so it looked like it was still connected.
  6. 2489806868 txt that number . He’s asking 1000 plus shipping.
  7. Shearer 2-1 pipe sounds sweet too
  8. You will be happy with both. But just for an FYI the window of power for the slps is like an fmf pipe except the power comes on much harder. They are torque monsters, especially on a stroker motor.
  9. those are not t3s those are t4s
  10. there is a cover that hold all your coolant in the motor, its the small shiny thing with the phillips heads screws holding it on. outside of those things idk what it would be. maybe its not leaking now but it did at one point. start it up and see what happens then.
  11. word good stuff enjoy
  12. now that I look at it, that cant be it because oil and coolant would be mixing in there and it wouldnt leak JUST coolant then. and I cant tell, but is it perhaps leaking from the pump cover where the drain is and running down by the oil vent? bc that would better explain it, prolly isnt sealing there, tighten those bolts down or drain the coolant take the cover off and re seal it.
  13. you could need a new water pump/ oil seal. could be letting coolant into the tranny oil. have you changed your tranny oil yet and seen coolant in there?
  14. Edit those are t4s
  15. What do the silencer look like? At first glance I thought toomey t4s or dgs. Post a pic of the silencers. Either way pro circuits are a good pipe can’t go wrong running those
  16. man that is a freakin genius idea on how to bench test ! i wish i would have thought of that. not that it mattered though since that shift star came off lol ill save that method for future use. usually just spin it by hand. I read Mull (I think) or someone say on here, that if it doesnt shift completely perfect during bench test (like hanging on 4,5, gear) not to worry because the bikes gotta be running for it to shift the way its intended. thats been my experience atleast in real life
  17. got it. if the piston is below the ports at bdc a little because of the base gasket change thats why im curious if it would cause some issues, im not planning on doing it, just wondering
  18. not like i plan on using a different shift star on it ! haha
  19. looks good man edit: dont people use different thickness base gaskets to adjust squish too? say if you had a .020 gasket and wanted to increase your squish a bit and change to a .030, does that affect port timings at all? or at what point would it affect port timings if any, im sure sleeper or someone will chime in
  20. i freaking hate social media as well i only have a page to buy and sell parts jared but im about to scrap that too but honestly thats where eveyrone sells stuff now, people dont sell much on here except active users
  21. sounds like a waste of money to me. if i took my cases to someone and wanted to have em trenched and they wouldnt because they werent new, id send em some where else
  22. havent people started using the delrin bushings too for them? i thought i read recently tyson does his with those with his swinarms and vitos sells them i saw. my stellar j arms have them in them.
  23. yeah thats a good thought, if it comes again its getting the red stuff. I really tried to back it out by hand hte other day with a bit of strength on it and it wouldnt move. i know the 7 vibrates more, but it should stay put now
  24. umm why??
