The 6.4s run real good........ if you can keep them in one piece. Lol. In other 6.4 news - last weekend a neighbor kid and myself did some scientific testing to test the strength of the intercooler boots on his 6.4 F250. Turns out 4 out of 4 blow at 75 lbs of boost. Lol. It was never really slow. Damn thing has plenty of power. It's setup for towing though. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Little update on the my 6.4. After having it apart and being able to visually inspect the internals I went ahead and turned my tuner up to street mode. I had never intended on doing it because it ran fine on tow but I had several guys tell me I wouldn't see any mileage improvements until I bumped it up to street. They were right, I've got right at 1,000 miles on it since I replaced the head gaskets and installed head studs. I turned it up before I pulled it out of the shop. Averaging 11 mpg now which is 1.5 better than this truck had ever gotten and that's a towing number. Feels like it runs easier too. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Finished the silver bullet this morning. Runs good. Needs a wash. Bad. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

In other news. All that's left to do on my truck is hookup the batteries and a few hoses. I'd post pics but the beginning of my story is like 27 pages back. Lol Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

You guys are step brothers aren't you? One in the basement, one in the attic? Trolling each other from 2 floors away while you wait for mom to come home and re-reat the meatloaf. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Do you guys have jobs? Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I'm just over here like, "who needs a brand new vehicle to drive 10,000 miles a year?" That's 27.39 miles a day. Get a bike. You'll be richer, healthier, and will hopefully crash while using Tapatalk and trying to ride a bike. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Dafuq is wrong with you guys? Having intercourse in a shop like a bunch of animals. That's lights off, covers on, bedroom behavior Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

1. Never allow a female near anything mechanical. Shops are for guys. Kitchens are for girls. 2. Will someone please rename this thread "useless forum opinions" Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Moral of the story: If you're on the fence about a diesel and don't NEED one, don't buy it. If you really want one and like that body style, go buy a totally stock one that some old dude used to run to the corner hardware store. New shit is great - if you can afford it. If you have to sacrifice travelling, savings, or something you enjoy in order to cover the payment then it's absolutely not worth it in my opinion. Just my 2 cents Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I wouldn't give a penny over 18 for it. Performance parts and wheels add exactly $0 to a trucks value. The owner will try to argue that fact I'm sure. Honestly I would give more money for a totally and completely stock truck than I would one like that. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with it, I'm just saying I would never pay 24k for it. Fastener lube eliminates the need for torque cycles. And honestly I've probably overhauled well over a hundred diesel engines of all shapes and sizes and never re-torqued anything. Never had an issue Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Fuckers torque to 275 lbs. I work on big motors that don't go that high. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

My truck did that once. I replaced the shocks and it never did it again. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I kinda want to build a 1,000hp 6.7. In a regular cab, long bed, single wheel F350, charcoal gray, tinted out, de-badged, smoked mirror lights and cab lights, factory premium wheels with next size up tires, and a motorized bed cover. May or may not have been thinking about that for a bit. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

That black Dodge and the owner were the subject if numerous Internet keyboard wars and Facebook idiot debates. He pretty much stays quiet and minds his own business. I was super glad to see him go out there and whip everyone's ass. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Some YouTube footage from the weekend. Scroll to 4:20 and watch the black Dodge on right side of the screen (left lane). That truck is insane. The green one at 2:00 is pretty cool too, just not as fast. https://youtu.be/axMxxphaFyo Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

6.4 head gasket time. Took me awhile to convince myself I needed them but yesterday re-affirmed my hunch. 1 hr 35 minutes to get the cab off. 2 hrs 15 minutes to tear it down to where it is now. 2 post lifts are badass. Everything looks great so I'll be decking the heads, installing studs, gaskets, and lifters and going back together. And for entertainment here's a truck that hit the wall at 330' at Rudy's yesterday. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

Mine was super easy on my Ford -I paid the shop to do it. Lol. It looked like a nightmare. Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I've seen them on big engines. Class 8 truck engines I mean. I haven't seen any for the little engines but I'm sure they're available Sent from my SM-G900V using Tapatalk

I should add that the issue IS accelerated by excess fuel settings with out equally modifying the turbo and intake system. You can have the best ceramic piston in the world, but if you can't cool down the air going in, AND keep the cylinder wall cool - you're gonna score the liner. Period.
