Never even thought about root beer colored i might look into that I was thinking orange and gun metal grey because you need a color thats going to stand out (orange will do that) and fun metal grey is the neutral color just the way it looks in my head i think it will come out nice but i havent seen a bike with that color combo so im just guessing
-
Yeah i rebuilt the top end now the bike wont shift when i open the throttle up...i just sent the bottom half case to redline for a pro mod I dont wanna do pink because everyone else is doing pink...dont wanna do blue or red because everyone else has a blue or red shee i want somthing different

Figured since i have my bike stripped down i might as well oowder coat it...thinking about going with candy orange for the frame but i want a more neutral color for the swing arm and a arms foot pegs etc The only colors that came to mind where gun metal gray or black for the swing arm and a arms..kinda torn on which way to go help me out lol

Yeah theres a guy in state that does the pro mod and he micro polishes the gears as well Not really sure what the micro polishing is suppose to do he said it makes the gears shift smoother Think i made a good choice with redline though

and i did follow some of your advice i just sent redline my tranny to get pro modded and i followed the other guys advice on skipping an atv shop which i planned to take my shee to get fixed...i strongly considered gravels advice but then my mechanic told me its going to be all top end out of the box a port was necessary....good or bad i appreciate everyones input thanks alot

not trying to be an asshole or come off as one but damn how else can i look at it??? if it fucks up i know better next time if it doesnt then it was well worth it... i bought them on a knee jerk reaction i asked you guys now im well aware of the pit falls of using these cylinders.lol not gonna go into a corner and cry about the shit on a decision i made..if it fails i'll simply tear that bitch back down and buy a cub next time...as much as you guys bash these cylinders iv'e also heard of ppl buying them and actually being satisfied..i was told the bike would run like crap so far thats wrong whose to say the nikasil will flake in the next 2 months but it could hold up the next 2 years not the type to cry over spilled milk lol sorry if that makes me an asshole

Yeah guess thats just a lesson im destined to learn

Man i would like to but paying someone $160 to blow my bike up doesnt sit well with me The only place i know where to take it for a dyno test has a track record of fucking ppls shit up on a dyno dont know how true it is but i might have to pass
-
will do thanks alot
-
yes he ported them for a 4 mill crank...something i was hesitant to do as i was told that porting these cylinders would result in the nikasil flaking.he told me the cylinders out the box would result in a bike that had nothing but top end and thats exactly what i didnt want so i really had no choice lol performance wise i got alot more out of them then i thought i would...durability wise only time will tell

So i put the athena kit on lol i have zero complaints other than now i have to go into the tranny because im missing shifts when i open it all the way up My mechanic convinced me to let him port the athena cylinders. the same bike the gapped me by houses im walking all over and im not even opening up all the way.im going to have to get the tranny right to see what it can really do but im happy with it to this point...lol i skipped power band unlimited thanks to your suggestion im almost curious enough to get the bike dynoed at power band but i here way to many stories of him blowing up bikes
-
Think i have ebc clutch plates and a hinson basket on the bike now...lol i barely put any ride time on them is it still worth it to get a clutch kit from fast?? Or would that money be better spent on replacing the inner and outer hubs
-
I asked a long time ago about the pro mod but didnt get one as it wasnt absolutley necessary...long story short i need one now the transmission in my shee isnt responding well to the added hp Whats the best place to send my tranny to have this done there seems to be alot of options i was thinking redline??
