  1. thats pretty much how i ride its about 50/50 trail/drag....nothing serious its not like im putting money on the line is there a reason drag racing is an exception??
  2. decided to go with redline racing for my 421 serval build.im going to send my cases in to get it port matched and i was thinking since its there should i go ahead and have them do the pro-mod transmission service bottom line i would like to know from someone with experience if its actually worth an extra $200
  3. i was looking into buying a serval from f.a.s.t i talked to jeff he seemed like he knew his shit.never heard of redline i'll be looking them up though as a few of you suggested. thanks for the input guys
  4. on my current set up?? the stock cylinders are drag ported..if i get a serval im also going to want advice on the port work there seems to be pros and cons for everything you do when dealing with this stuff
  5. lol might sound like a dumb question but bare with me...if i port my serval will i lose bottom end power?? only reason im asking is because i bought my banshee with ported stock cylinders and my bike has no low end grunt at all
  6. what are your reasons for picking the serval and would that be a drag port or a dune port
  7. tearing down my banshee and starting over fresh.i want a bike that performs well overall meaning that i want something that is trail friendly but is still capable of handing out ass whoopings on the drag strip.i understand that the cub is better suited for the track and the serval is a better trail bike.my question is which set up is better suited for trail/track as im going to be doing both types of riding almost 50/50. little concerned about getting low end power out of the cub and top end pull from the serval advice on a good set up would be much appreciated.
  8. Lol isn't that the whole reason ppl make forums? Everybody is going to tell you that their brand of products are legit.just wanted some feed back from those of us who have had good experiences with particular brands so I know where to begin my search...also ppl with bad experiences so I know what brands to steer clear of
  9. Thinking about changing my stock arms and axle.would like to do so without spending a small fortune but at the same time I want quality parts.i was looking at tusk for the adjustable axle but I'm a little worried about the a-arms I've seen those things break before at critical times both stock and after market any suggestions??
  10. So other than the cylinders and port timing what are some other things I should consider
  11. it does bog when you try to launch it and thats my main problem....lol iv'e already raced the bike several times and every single race i always get smoked on the hole shot...to the credit of my shee 4th gear is an absolute monster for whatever reason i always seem to catch up and win.i think i have it narrowed down though its either my cylinders or its the carb is to big.but my question now is even if i kept the huge carbs how are they a benefit when i dont know anybody running a shee with carbs that size.even if i changed the cylinder would i have the same issue??
  12. lol pretty opportunistic about my riding spots i need a bike that does everything decent..but right now this bike is no fun at the trails at all i actually parked it and broke out the 250r the last time i went.i think im going to look into getting a smaller carbs i hear alot of ppl run built motors on stock carbs maybe i'll go down to 33's or 34's depending on what i can get the best deal on....i dont think theres any other way i'll get good all around power on the bike unless i do that or either go for a cheetah cub kit
  13. im not sure if the cylinders are drag ported but i do know that the cylinders are on their final bore.most ppl say that you lose bottom end when you go to a bigger carb i dont wanna buy a new set of cylinders only to find out the carb was the issue in the 1st place.
  14. i just bought a shee that looks to be set up for the 1/4 mile. it has a 4 mill crank, ported stock cylinders, v force 4 reeds, cpi inframe pipes, athena cool head, 39mm pwk carbs and 16/41 gearing this bike is all top end my goal is to try and make it a little more well rounded.im no expert on this but i think 39mm carbs are WAY to big for the set up i have.in an attempt to give the bike a little more bottom end i went down 1 tooth on the front sprocket and theres still no take off now im thinking it has to be the carb any advice at all on this will be much appreciated
