  1. Same here. A lot of people don't pull the clutch to shift.
  2. I've never used a gasket on that cover. I just put some yamabond or automotive type sealant on it and go. I've never had a leak.
  3. Did you line the arrows on the pressure plate and hub when you put it back together?
  4. What brand of axle.
  5. This will only happen if you don't tighten the flywheel correctly. The key isn't suppose to hold the flywheel in position. It's only there to idex it while putting it on. I've been running the same key for 3yrs.
  6. Maybe he swaped the left and right carb slides or didn't put the choke tube back between the two carbs.
  7. Matt, gate 1 is just a booth like driving into indiana state parks that take your money and give you your parking passes and stickers for you truck and quad. Then you go to the parking lot like minkia was saying and unload, fuel up, whatever. Gate two that he is talking about is another booth that goes to the dunes. You ride your quad through the parking lot to that booth and the dnr looks for spark arrestors and makes sure your flag hit the pole they have set up. I believe 10ft. It's simple. The first gate can have a wait at it. I went with Minkia and we had a good breakfest at a buffet. I'm sure we can find other things to do besides ride also.
  8. Before you do all the suspension stuff (which I do suggest) try a bigger front sprocket. It will pull harder longer and you'll have more traction because your spreading the power out more. It's the cheapest thing to try first.
  9. LMAO... It doesn't matter whats left, right, top or bottom. They are the same.
  10. I also had the adjuster screw and nut come off at roostfest.
  11. I don't know if the crown vic's come with a 5.4 or not. The fuel mileage is almost identical in the trucks with both motors. If it's an option, go with the bigger motor. You'll be more happy in the long run. I don't think the 4.6 is a bad motor though.
  12. .040 shouldn't have been hitting the head gasket. I have a stroker and it had to go through the head gasket and I never had a problem. It was .040. I don't know what other head gasket would even be close to a banshee head gasket. You don't have a big bore motor do you?
  13. I've been told cold by some and warm by some. I do mine cold. As far as the compression tester goes. I had one from harbor freight and it's way off. I bought one at advanced auto for $30 and it read the same as boonmans. He has a really really nice one. Mine may not last as long, but it's reading good for now.
  14. Here's an option for you. Spend the money on a clymers manual and do it yourself. It's a piece of cake. Then the next time you need a repair, it's free.

  16. I've heard of people running 30 - 32mm with top end pipes for drag racing.
  17. Bell has always had a good track record. Remeber though, fit is the key. You should go try some on before ordering. One helmet may fit me and you might hate it.
  18. I use maxima tundra R. Very good oil.
  19. RIP. He will definitley be missed. He always said he was in someone elses hand while doing his tricks. Many prayers are with him and his family. Rock On Larry Now when we hear thunder we'll know Larry built a bike for God.. lol. That's what I'll tell my kids.
  20. I agree. Or, you put the carb slides in backwards or something goofy like that.
  21. Damn, I just sold some new 28mm flats.
  22. I have used both and here's what I think. FOAM. Now it also depends on your riding. I had a k&n with an outerwear. Never had any real problems with it but when I would splash water with an open airbox I'd have trouble. Use to tick me off. Even some people at coalfest (rainfest) had problems with k&n's in the airboxes. They absorb water. They aren't to bad to clean but not as easy at foam. I didn't notice enough increase in airflow to say it's better than a foam either. Now, I used a foam at coalfest with an open airbox and had a blast. I was going through tons of water. A couple times I got it way to wet. I just squished the water out of it and kept riding. The sticky spary you can put on them is great. I will always use foam from now on.
  23. It's in a paypal account.
