  1. So it is lean. Shit'Mix is 24:1 with maxima 927 Guess I will adjust the needle some more. Cause I have tried adjusting powerjet both ways already with no luck!
  2. No doubt. I agree. Also I just read that with methanol color on the plug (like the color of my plugs pictured) is cause by heat from being too lean.
  3. It makes no sense that it is LEAN like you say, cause the next run I leaned the power jet 1 turn in, and performence was better, and plug was starting to clean up a touch. Can any veteran methanol runners chime in?
  4. No, brand new, 2 passes. I have decided to use different plugs to purge until I get this thing dialled in.
  5. The tranny is holding up! You wouldn't believe the hours I put in!! I have the hang of pulling in the clutch! Hopefully it last I have my first race in 3 weeks! I will buy another one to have on hand when it lets go.
  6. I understand enough that this is not what I want my plug to look like. I know I want it to look new, for atliest 90% of the upper ring, but what I'm not finding is if now I am lean, or rich? Carbs are lectrons Should the needle be moved or only the power jet?
  7. This is after 2 passes on brand new plugs bike was shut off at end of pass. I've been researching methanol plug reading, but I'm still not getting a straight answer on dark like my plans is lean? Or ritch?
  8. So I just talked to Todd owner of carbon race parts, since these rods I have are too long for the new front end I bought and they are brand new, what I will do is sell them for much cheaper then the cost of new, to help promote his new parts. So 2 carbon fibre rods 14 7/8" long, just the 2 rods, no ends for 65$ shipped. That's a great price to get a set of new carbon rods, pretty much half price. I bet quad pro would even agree. Lol Anyway anyone wants the rods pm me or text the # I put up. 65$ shipped. Thanks.
  9. I didn't put the tranny in, it was already in. Springs looked fine, to me, I also sent a pic to redline a while back, when I tor into the motor for inspection. Durring inspection I did not remove the transmission, Also the Tranny was fine first cpl runs, but I may have back loaded as I said I'm not use to it. I'm wondering is this a problem that happens from back loading? This is my first drag bike, it's a 535 cheetah, to be totally honest it's scarry as hell! Lol I find slowing down at the end of the run the nerve racking part. I can handle the pulling after a cpl runs, but letting off is a shaky ride, wah. But that's a hole different thread, I'm really concerned about this tranny at the moment, going out again today for some practice runs and I'm wondering if its going to just give out.
  10. It's a dunable override, not sure who cut it. Problem that has just started to happen is when bike is in neutral not running and you push it forward its fine, but push it backwards it seems to catch the gear, but not fully cause I can still push it forward with no issue. Also starting in neutral with clutch in, it seems to pull itself into gear on its own. This is my first override, and I will say it has been hard getting use to it. But how it happend I believe is a did a run, pulled in clutch from wide open and shut off bike to get a good plug read. I rolled to a stop with clutch in and it seemd that the gears were still catching with clutch in as I rolled to a stop? Any suggestions about any of this? Is the tranny on its way out? Whole tranny? Or is it just the shift forks?
  11. I was so pissed off when I first read that I didn't even realize! These are those rods! Carbon race parts! Hell I'm the guy who told him to come here!! Anyway, what buddy said was ignorant. If he read that hole ebay add, he would see that listing is for one rod. 1 rod, no ends. Not assume that I am some cock sucker trying rip people off! Also "carbon race parts" was great to deal with, fast to make my parts, and had the heim joint ends as well!! So anyone who wants carbon rods made to any length they want, buy with confidence.
  12. I will sell both rods. Just the rods for 80$ shipped and keep the heim joints for the new shorter rods that I need. That is cheaper then the ebay rods. Rod length is 14 7/8"
  13. I looked at your ebay rods. They are 69$ for one rod! ONE!! These are 2 rods and 4 heim joints!
  14. I'm not sure if you think I'm sort if fucking asshole, but in no way would I buy something on ebay for 69$ and pass it on here for triple the cost!!! You can't even fucking buy a carbon fibre gas tank cover for 69$!! So I don't know who the fuck you are, trying to fuck up my sale and make me look like some sort of fucking asshole selling overpriced junk!!! But fuck you for doing so! If you don't know or if you have a problem pm me first before saying something that is not true for the world to read. I looked at your profile and I can't believe a grown man of 42 years old would do such a punk move. Seriously bitch!!! Grow up! For anyone else, These are carbon fibre. Not wrapped, not aqua fusion look, and like any carbon parts they are not very cost efficient. But they are extremely strong, extremely light, and many like the LOOK.
  15. Lol bull shit!! Not these ones. U can't buy any fucking real carbon fibre for that. U go ahead and put them on your bike.
  16. I'm new to methanol/alcohol but I believe from the research I did when getting into it, (a very short time ago)vp m1 is "standard" alcohol, it's the m3 and m5 that would maybe require some changes.
  17. Yes mine is a +2. But please measure yours center to center see if they are close, cause they can be adjusted a bit shorter or longer with the rod ends. They are light, that's for sure. I paid 218$ shipped to my door, so I'm losing out on the 18$ and what ever they cost to ship to next buyer. And they are brand new! Do t get me wrong I like these tho gs a lot. Shut I just got them last week. But decided to buy that race tech front end here in Bhq. So I will sell these and buy a new shorter set. My # if u want to text, for a faster response. 289-716-0613
  18. I have a set of brand new (only installed) carbon fibre tie rods with new heim joint ends. These are dam nice, but are too long for the new front end. They are 16.5" centre of bolt, to centre of bolt installed. They are threaded properly, like reg. rod, very well made. $200 shipped +fees. Mounting hardware is included
  19. Chrome cover is brand new, I bought a carbon fibre one instead, fits stock plastics or full bore, not sure of others. The Jds grill is also pretty much new, but it was installed and used for a few rides on my old trail bike. $40 shipped +fees for the tank cover $40 shipped +fees for the grill
  20. I gave a deposit and will make payment as arranged with seller.
  21. Awesome!! Thanks. Mike.
  22. I don't want to turn this thread into a cub vs cheetah battle, but I'm totally with you in that. I had the choice to build one or the other, to me the cheetah was an obvious choice!! Bigger intakes= more air flow = the ability to run more fuel, making more power. The the choice to run a pv or not is just icing on the cake. My personal opinion why most people chose a cub over a cheetah is that it is COST efficient!! If they chose to admit it or not. Most guys by the time they are ready to upgrade to a cub, they already have, good reeds, intake, cool head ect. With a cheetah you need to start all over! Don't hate it's just an opinion!
  23. I'm running 400' cam. Think I will run out of fuel? And yes 100% got the flat side facing the carb. I adjusted those things so many fucking times I had to retap the treads!! But now that I got it to hit the pipe I'm there. I actually got to idle pretty good now aswell. I'm pretty sure I'm pretty happy how it is, but I need to take it out and tune in the power jet get the top end of it set up. Any pointers on that?
