I honestly had no clue! Guess if I get my $$ back I will 100% buy a set. Are they chromoly?
-
Seriously hard to miss.
-
He got back to me, exact words "send them back!" So do I get refund, then send them back? Cause I have never had An issue like this. I don't see why I should have to wait for my money and possably miss out on better arms, that, that money could go towards. Especially when they should not have even been sent to begin with. Who covers shipping? Am I out shipping for sellers mistake.
-
Thanks and like I said I don't want to mention name without a fair chance for seller to get back to me.. I am just so upset that I had to get opinion and see what guys thought of the arm.
-
I have bought lots of stuff off this site, and always like dealing with the guys that have lots of post, and use site lots. Never have I had a problem, I would not sell these arms is this condition without mentioning this bend, not to mention, they cost me 275$ plus shipping, not a bad deal for a set of older arms, with rods, hardware and stock hubs. But In This condition I would not have bought them. Not even for 100$ shipped.

I message him and asked him to get back to me in 24 hours, I want to give him a chance to get back to me, who knows maybe he is blind, or had someone else ship them, and never did look at them, I'm not sure, not ready to give him a bad name if he don't deserve it, but he has a ton of post, and has been a member here since 2011!

Here this shows much better what I am seeing
-
Not sure who you are fucking, but it'd say it's about 20 cunt hairs for sure! Lol, but it's been many years since I have even seen a cunt hair, but I do use the term on a daily basis

I fucking bought these from a member here, just got them here today! Thing is they mentioned that they had chrome paint on them, the obvious, fuck you could see that in the pic, he didn't mention that paint was covering up a broken arm, that had been welded, I could of probably lived with that cause I didn't ask why the chrome paint was there, but not what I would of done, if I was selling them, BUT the big deal is these arms are bent, this lower arm is junk, I would not run it, dangerous. It is week. 1 12 o'clock wheelie from a hard hooking start, and very well could break on landing. I don't know what to do about it, and it's been 6 hours from the seller without a reply, yet when selling them' he always seemed to be by the phone. I talked to him on a cpl occasions on different days and always a very quick response. This is not a wee bend in an axle, this is a bad bend on an a arm, that Is easily seen just by looking at it, and is much worse in person then the pic is showing. To me it is an outright rip off to sell these arms, withis bend and not mention it.
-
How bad is that? Not to mention the same arm has been broken and welded

Please look at these pictures and let me know if you see anything wrong. Thanks Arm on the left in pic above

Rite on guys, thanks for all the opinions.

Man I just sold a guy an axle last week, and he specifically asked me if it was straight, I ride the bike, it felt great, I tor apart bike and looked at the axle and it looked, pretty dam straight to me, so I told him exactly that. Now if he came to me tomorrow with all of this, I honestly wouldn't know what to say? Cause like I believe sprinkler said, the majority don't have the tools or the knowledge to know how to specifically measure it for straightness, nor so we have the time for that. I believe since majority say the amount this thing is out, doesn't even matter, then if buyer needed the part to be that perfect, maybe they should of asked for it to be measured? JMO But I sell lots of used parts, if they pass riding test and visual inspection, they are considered a good used part. Unless the buyer needs more from me and asked for more (such as measurements) this is all they get. It's a shitty situation for both parties, I actually feel for you both.

B.b.p builders replied to 110horsy's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
I think I just saw a wanted add the other day for a 14" rear Marvin, you might want to check on that. -
This might be a dbl. but I think I forgot to post the last one, I'm thinking, as I can't find it. Anyway, is it wrong to reuse low hour pistons when haveing a motor ported? Cheetah pistons are expensive, actually the cost of shipping the motor both ways, expensive. So I'm wondering if reusing the low hour pistons with fresh rings is something other guys would do? Personally I'm thinking I should just put fresh pistons in it, but if it's just waiting my $, well I'm not into that! Also would a builder even port the motor, put it back together and tune it, with a used set of pistons in it? Wondering opinions on this. If this is a dbl sorry, I thought I posted this, but I went looking to see if anyone replied yet and can't even find the post? So I'm guessing I didn't.

Dammit, I knew I should of asked for more $$, lol Thanks tricked -
Cleaned them up, just as you guys described. Break cleaner, worked real good, very little effort actually, that "spooge" is just so sticky, I can see why it clogs everything up. I can feel even how much smoother my throttle is. Haven't started the bike yet, but I'm almost positive, all will be good. The floats were sticking to the sides of the bowls! Thanks
-
Shitty! But thnks. I was hoping for a miracle cleaner soak em and it eats the slim away! I havens seen slim like this in gas carbs. This stuff is sticky, it's slim! Is it from the type of oil? Or the alcohol? I use klotz supertechnoplate

140$ shipped, good shape, worked great. Great for those who run stuff clutch springs and no lock up!
-
I had plans to use it the following day, so I didn't purge. Then that day turned into a week! Cause I forgot, and then this happens. Yes bowls were full. I purge it every time, longest was over night if I was using it the very next day. So I always leave it empty. So I'm guessing everything is gummed up with that green slim I see in the bowl, that is now in the little orfeces ? So what is the best way to clean these things? They were set good already, just need to be cleaned.

Had some time to take the bike out, it was hard to start, but ran great for a cpl passes, then all of a sudden it started idleing high, so I figured it must be an air leak, did a leak down test, it's good, no leak! It's been sitting for probably 6 weeks. Carbs I think are dirty or something, floats were also sticking, causing fuel was leaking out the overflows. Anyone ever have any issues like this with lectrons? Issues- floats are sticking and motor is reving to high on its own, all of a sudden. Did leak test, no leak. I want to give them a good cleaning tomorrow, any pointers on cleaning them, cause my only guess is they are clogged up. It won't start on its own, had to put fuel direct into cyl. That started it, and it kept running, but idle was way to high, again it did this all on its own, no adjustments were made. These are my first set of lectrons.
