  1. yes it was wet with gas but i checked it right after like 20 kicks. and i couldn't get a spark at all to come up at all. what does that mean, stator?
  2. nope sorry still not fixed it seemed the hose got snagged off some point earlier today it was on the floor of my garage and I put it on. still no change in the starting sounds exactly the same.
  3. it seemed to run fine when I drove it.
  4. so that's most likely my problem. and im assuming it doesn't affect rollstarting or while driving?
  5. does anybody know where to find a cheap airbox and filter or at least one of those y boot things that goes straight to the carbs. just got a banshee and the guy didn't have anything connected to the carbs.
  6. ya the only tube was the gas line what happens when the vaccum lines not there?
  7. and if you are talking about the gas line yes they were connected. the thing runs great it just doesnt kickstart. well it doesn't want to idle till you get it nice and warm either but again im guessing its just the carb adjustment.
  8. ill try it out tomorrow I tried before but it was hard to get my hand over the carbs with choke held out. ill rig it up with tape or something.
  9. and if you look closely in the video you see I was holding my choke out with my hand while I was kicking and also I haven't checked stator or anything. the choke does that from because some kind of clip on it is broke or missing.
  10. ya I read somewhere about the five kicks with kill switch but it didn't help any
  11. that's with air fuel screw 1.5 turns out and idle screw 2 turns out
  12. theres a video of me trying to start it. and the main jet wasn't stock it was 270 forgotto check the pilot.
  13. tors is still installed and yes the plugs were wet but the screws on the tors are only screwed 3 turns out and its running stock jets and has the carbs opened with toomeys. what should I adjust on the carbs and what to.
  14. i used to kick start my yz450f with a broken decompression lever. this things nothing. and ill mess withvthe carbs here in a minute i also just picked up some plugs just in case even though the others lookrd fine. im guessing itd the carb adjustment cant find anything else wrong.
  15. no im 6ft around 220 lbs
  16. well i checked the compession hust now and i got 118 out of the left cylinder and 116 out of tge right thats good pressure isnt it?sibwhat rlse coukd my problem be
  17. and peterlocal22 I already drained the gas out haven't put new in yet
  18. jeeme6655 you are exactly right I just wanted to have it running but ill do a compression test and if it comes out to low then ill tear it down and see how they look if they are good enough can I just re ring them or should I replace pistons anyway? I don't have a ton of money but I don't want to do something and then have to turn around and do it in another 6 months.
  19. he mixed 36 to 1 he said but again if the compressions good could open carbs be my starting problem?
  20. and what about the fact that he was running weedeater gas would this have messed anything up?
  21. dardy dave I have owned quads and dirtbikes bot but this is my first two stroke ive owned. and I called the guy I got it from and he said they weren't off long he said he took them off expecting new ones but they never arrived. but ill check the compression and everything I really hope its ok. and if compression is ok could no filters make it hard to start?
  22. also when should there be pressure on the kickstart? it goes down like a 1/4 of the way before it actually starts to turn over is this normal?
  23. and yes it will pop start fine.
  24. ya it will kick over just wont fire doesnt even soung like its trying to without a ton of gas. and ive not really looked at anything just got it a few hours ago but i just realized its not got anything on the carb i mean its straight carb no airbox or even a filter that could be a problem couldnt it? and joey83 if its messed up ill hit you up.
