my friends shee had similar damage, not quite that severe though, he came back from a ride and said his bike was down on power, and then we couldnt quite get it to start...so we...herm....tried pull starting it with my trike a couple of times lol found out later one of the carbs came loose and that side went lean as fuck and fried a piston, the piston started to break up and we did the rest trying to force that broken motor to start

buy a "jam nut" and bash it up your ass...problem solved

its called a lock nut and you tighten it against the inner nut to stop it coming loose, honestly if your inner nut isn`t loose right now someone could well have already used locktite on it. if the inner nut starts turning when you are tightning the lock nut you have to hold it to stop that, do it with the back end of your bike off the ground, make sure your axle still spin free while doing all this.

does a bit of thought into track design come into it at all? that BBD track is so narrow, zero margine for error and either side of that track will fuck you up if you spear off at the fast end, even WITH all the safety gear...i was a bit shocked when i looked at some vids of it..
