id replace the wheel bearings, tighten everything and just keep riding it until winter, if it blows up, you swapped a dog that needed a rebuild anyway

bearings, o-rings and exhaust springs are chump change, there is penty of peeps parting out bikes on here, so you can buy rest for cheap, its the leaking base gasket i would be concerned about...
