Well I ALMOST got fucked by this douchenozzle too. I was on E2S and had my thread about needing parts there also. He said he had a set of LSR arms with brakes and spindles and a stock length round carrier swingarm...for 500 shipped?? Asked for my number to text the pics to. OK no big deal...then he says he cant text me the pics (probably didnt want me to end up with his #) so he posts them oin the thread. Looked like a sweet deal to me.... So he non-chalantly give me his supposed username on here.....not gonna name who it was, but it ended up NOT being him. Apparently he was hoping i'd blow my load about the killer deal and send the money right away, then when i either got junk or nothing at all, would come here looking to take it out on the wrong person. Well I came here first and figured out he's a pole smoker. SO just keep your eyes open on other sites for him. E2S still has yet to even reply to me about the situation.

take the cotter pin out of the broken end (on the spindle the tire mounts to) unbolt the nut and get the broken piece out. you can either unscrew the rod from the other end to get it off, Loosen the jam nut right at the end of the rod or you can get the inside end off the same way the broken outer side came off. Might cost ya like 40-50 bucks to fix. You might wanna check your frame around where the a-arms mount for it being bent.
-
you need an outer tie rod end, and a tie rod if you dont feel like drilling the old rod end out. Honestly its not worth the effort, just buy a new one.

Hey guys, im in the process of collecting parts to finish my Banshee. I dont have the money to purchase everything at once right now, but I will be buying things a little at a time. I'm starting a new job Monday and if all goes well, things will start to move a bit faster. I'm just going to post everything I need once so I dont have a gazillion page thread about what I need. Aint nobody got time for that...So here goes....PM me or post away if you have anything. Front Spindles. New style preferred but not necessary. Front Calipers and mounts...must match spindles obviously. Front Master Cylinder/lever. Aftermarket Front Bumper. AC racing preffered but lemme know. Dont gotta be blingy, im gonna PC it. Grab Bar. Would like a PRM Baja style one, again gonna PC it most likely. Front Pipe mounts, OEM or aftermarket, as long as theyre good. Rear shock, not blown. Need upper and lower shock bolts also, i have the rest for the linkage. Swingarm bolt and end caps Stator. Square plug. White OEM plastic. Must be nice, I'll buy Lakers if necessary. White tank and rad covers also headlights. Flat plug. Nerfs. Black or Blue nets. OEM wheels, front and rear. Tires dont really matter. Any finish, again gonna PC Lugnuts. Not a big deal, can buy them if needed. Carbs. Stock with TORS removed or 28PWK's Steering stem clamp, seals, and the special rad mount bolt Aftermarket engine/trans stuff I want: Will probably end up buying new but I'll mention it just in case Shift Pro Pancake bearing Billet water pump gear Aluminum Radiator Modded shift star modded shift shaft +2 arms +1 or 2 antivibe stem aftermarket front shocks...no elkas stock length round carrier swingarm and carrier aftermarket extended axle Extended thumb throttle lever Thanks for looking. banshee engine shopping
blue97shee replied to mother trucker's topic in YFZ - Banshee Conversion Forum
I have to say I agree with him. -
the 795 pistons have the wristpin 5mm cloer to the top of the piston when compared to a stock piston, thus making up for the longer connecting rod. The longer rod gives you more dwell time at top and bottom dead center, giving a little extra time for the transfer ports to fill the cylinder.
-
the long rod doesnt change the stroke. only the 4mm stroker crank changes the stroke.
-
you can get a spacer plate to go under the cylinders to correct the port timing and get the extra room for the longer stroke. Not the best way to do it, but it will work. I believe the Wiseco 795 series pistons are what you want to get. He woulda been better off porting with the stock crank, woulda been cheaper too.

rut-roh-rorge...i bet someone shoulda asked before shelling out like 600 bucks...
