i had a few questions about my gas mileage on an 04 banshee. it seems to be doing terrible with sucking gas. driving to the end of my road and back its in between a quarter and half gallon of fuel its using. it has a 397 vitos sleeper kit with noss head and pro circuit pipes and silencers. unsure if jet sizes but i assume they are a proper size for the set up because it runs excellent. it is also around 35-40 degreez right now. so i was wondering if there is anything i can do to improve it any, and does the cold weather effect it? i know it makes it run leaner. and i need to pull cards and clean them. i know it wont do great anyways but anything i can do to help would be greatly appreciated. i just got it a couple weeks agonand dont know what its like in the warmer weather for fuel consumption. thanks in advance for info.

lol. its my cousins bike. it was well maintained and barely ridden. he just didnt wash it last time he went to the mines up here like he should have. but yeah its on my to do list. its running a tad rich so i plan on cleaning the carbs and checking them. is therw any markers on the cylinders to say if they are stock or not? and like i said ill post better pics of cylinders after he drops it off. price was still good though. picking it up for $1800. so i cant complain either way. -

i think i read vito does too. athena is more common cause its cheapet probably. ill post a pic when i get it. if its athena are they alright? i have heard good and bad on them. -
lol. well im new too banshees and hooking harder nay not be super great until i get used to it. a little tire spin probably isnt a bad thing for me.
-
i dont plan on matching fronts. but thanks for input. i really like the kenda claws but never had any actual user expirience them. i heard they wore out quick. but if they wear slow thats what im leaning towards then i think.

that green is awesome. my wuad im getting is yellow. o well its clean and fast. lol. i looked at that site too. too many sites with different prices.
-
ok. i get you. yeah cutting wouldnt be for me. your quad is nice. and looks really long. lol.
-
and im sorry if this is a dumb question but what does cutting imply?
-
how about gbc afterburns? i have heard good things.
-
i was looking at the kenda claws i think too. that are reversible for different types of terrain. and. i liked the tread pattern. i like kenda tires. they seem good and reasonably priced. how much were those?
-
i thought they did alright besides the tread ware. but way over priced. although thats all i have ever used though. everything i buy around here has holeshoys on it.
-
thanks. ill check those out too. i just dont want to spend 130 bucks a tire on the holeshots if i dont have to. nuce tire but mine wore fairly quick.
-
they have some ambush tires on their site and they are a good price at 70 a pop. and they sound good as well. anyone have any expirience with them? for the price i might just have to give them a shot.
-
thanks. ill check them out.

i need to buy some rear tires for my wheeler and i dont know what to get. i have usef itp holeshot hds mostly and like them but they are spendy. i was wondering if there was a better tire or more bang for the buck anyways. i do some trail riding but mostly play in the sand and redrock. i do some open field riding as well. most of the terrain in riding is hard and is rocky. any input would be great. like tire wear, traction, and durability too.

i dunno. i guess i just dont know what questions to ask. i put the info i know which isnt much atm. im not huge on forums, but figured since im new to banshees and 2-strokes id give it a shot. i was all 4 stroke prior but could never get thats speed i wanted without dropping way too much money into a project. my preddy was fun but it got old too quick. not enough power there, i always want more. so i wanted something i can build to my liking and with yhe sheer amount of mods and thinhs you can do to them a banshee was a no brainer. im not all that sensitive, just not big on being talked down to as such like a moron. and your right there is a ton of knowledge here. but when someone seeks it even asking vague question a little respect would be appreciated. im new, i dont know much, but im willing to take the knowledge. its just new for me and im not quite sure what to ask as far as a 2-stroke. so im a little slow. lol.
-
i guess the point that is being missed here. is i know the person who built it so i can get a full build sheet on it. just have to go talk to him. and fyi i wait til taxes to just buy the damn thing out right and not having to worry about it. i dont keep 1200 bucks around just to buy a quad. i dont have all the info on it. so i apologize. i was just looking for some feedback on other peoples builds to just get a rough eatimate of what potential there is for it. not exact numbers. i was just curious about what other people did to theirs and what kind of gains they got. so if you just want to be an ass or smartass thanks for your input but seriously grow up...... im not trying to confuse people with what is informatioj not relevant but trying to describe how i can track down how it was built. i will post pics and build sheet when i get them. thanks.
-
i wish i could buy it now. waiting for taxes damnit. lol. but he is family so he will save it for me. he is a dirtbike guy and got the banshee for his gf and it scares the hell out if her so she got a warrior. i know the whole motor was redone and bored to either 378 or 399. i cant remeber right now. it has cool heads on it and its domed differently. but not sure on specs. but its plenty fast enough for me. i havent gotten the damn thing out of third gear in the small field they have.
-
i know the guy who built it. i kbow he put good stuff in it i just cant think of brands and such off the top of my head. im going to try and get a part list here though just cause i wanna know and ill post it for you guys to check out. the guy just rebuilt it about 3 hrs of runtime ago. and the restof the work has maybe 10 hours on it. regardless though i know it runs and drives and shifts excellent so its worth at least the 1200 i can get it for.
