  1. Holy Nut Cracker..!! I am going 4 mil myself, how would you know if you are getting a set of rods with 29 l/r on them before purchasing. I would hate to order my setup and inspect the parts and see 29l/r.
  2. Ok, well seems as if Hot Rod Cranks are the way to go and everyone is vouching for them, so might as well jump on the band wagon. What type of port job do you have and what type of HP's are you getting?
  3. Wouldn't go as far as saying I fucked up but note taken..
  4. Hey guys I really appreciate the info...Just did a search not too long ago. Along with the information you guys provided and reading the article it really made a lot of since. Savage..you were right on point.....about wider isn't always better.
  5. Sheerider, I know this is a little off topic but sorta along the same lines....I am having the same problem but its with the rear brake especially when I practice doing a wheelies, its like the rear brake needs to be up an inch but you don't have the same adjustment for the rear brake like you have for the shifter. Once again sorry if I am not following the proper thread etiquette.
  6. Sorry if this has been discussed before and if someone has a saved link, please feel free to pass it along. Anyway, I know a lot of people are running Hot Rod Cranks but there are other companies making cranks as well. I have search everywhere (that I know of) trying to find what is the difference. Such as which company does a good job welding their cranks or which company does a better job trueing their cranks etc. Can someone give me some information or experiece they have had with cranks and why do you think the cranks made by company A is better than the cranks made by company B
  7. I thought you said your a arms were stretched 4
  8. Ok. I agree with some of your comments and I can understand you logic. In most cases I think wider is better. My bike is stock up front not much of as problem but a ground had+ 2 up front and it rides a little better. I don't see + 4 being a big problem reversing rims is something else. How about detailing the proper way so no one will laugh
  9. I figured I needed stiffer springs, but have not found a lot of information how to change them or what colors means
  10. Ok that makes since. As I mentioned earlier I am a heavy rider and was looking into different ways to make my bike more suitable to my weight and have an aggressive mc look. Right now I have works up front and stock on rear. I had been reading where some riders put R1 or 450 shocks on back. The 450 rear shock will bring up the back bout 3 inches which would be fine with me. But I wouldn't mind getting a wider stance up front
  11. I am not looking to go that wide. I had been reading up on suspension (heavy rider), and I noticed the widest a arms online were +3 and I think there are newer quads that have +4 up front. So I was just curious.
  12. Hey guys, sorta new here so if any of you can help me out any information offered would be highly appreciated. Are +4 a arms possible and if so what mods are necessary? If not or if not recommended why? Thanks in advance
  13. You can always get a big girl to sit on your piston....Squish...Squish..Test SAT
  14. Possum, the banshees in the pic on your profile...Do they have some type of frame mod up front?
  15. Windtalkers….FIRST….I am a newbie as well and I have a pretty decent background in street bikes, earliest bike was an 81 CB900 Custom that I rode back in high school now I play on a Suzuki oiler 1100. I love the raw power of the older bikes. None of that sissy fuel injected frame slider shit that you see today…I rode with a group of guys that did a lot of stunt riding both quads and street bikes. NONE of them had 2 stroke engines I mean literally not one…Never seen a lot of two stroke engines in the stunting community at all maybe 3 or 4 tops. Can say too much about the drifting but if you want to do ANY stunting I suggest that you roll a 4 stroke Honda or Suzuki, go up a tooth or two on the sprocket and call it a day. You are gonna end up hurting yourself with a cub or a ported stock engine. There is not a lot of room for error on a two stroke once you get in the power band. I do not know your riding experience but based on the questions you asked I don’t think that you have been exposed to a lot of stunt riding. These guys know their shit… they pop the clutch keep the front end down and put down some very impressive numbers…they know how to go really fast…Stunt riding is just the opposite.....REAL TALK
  16. Shee put me on this thread...It may be a nice help in your decision... If you don't know look at the dyno.. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=150213
  17. Either this guy has some cheap no good ass tires or that Serval Engine is a little power house. After I finish my 4mil stock cylinder setup, the next build will be a serval. Hey guys who what 4mil crank would you purchase?
  18. I am in the same boat man...Sheeacumin gave a link to my post..There is a ton of neewbie friendly information on the post. Take a few minutes and read over it. From all the information I have gathered from other riders a Cub is too too peaky for most types of trail riding. I was out this weekend and this guy said that he just sold his cub motor, and basically said if you are not drag racing, use your stock jubs with a 4 mil crank and or get a serval.
  19. I just installed a clutch for my bike...Here is a link that helped me out http://www.toomey.com/html/clutch.htm
  20. I did some riding this weekend got the chance to chat with a guy that had a 4 mill cub motor on his bike. Anyway he said that he liked the 4 mill cub motor for drag reaching and that was about it. He said that cub motors are not trail friendly at all. He also added it performed well on sand.
